kenzie's 'MOTIVES': Go Behind the Scenes of Music Video With EPIC Dancing! (Exclusive)
Entertainment Tonight

introduction

kenzie: "hey ET, it's Kenzie and i'm taking you guys behind the scenes of my new music video 'Motives' so come on in."

interviewer: "the lyrics of this song are so powerful. girl who did you wrong? like where is this coming from?"

kenzie: "hah. it's actually a friend it's not like about a boy or a relationship or anything. i just noticed that they weren't being my friend for just me, uh it was just for followers and clout and them getting you know advantage of it, so i had so write a song about it."

interviewer: "i was gonna say look when your angry in life put it in writing, make some art of it."

interviewer: "so tell me about the concept of this video, we're here in a very gritty, dark gym, um did you come up with this concept and why here in a boxing gym?"

kenzie: "because it's very like girl empowering. it's like a gym run by girls, the song was produced by girls, directed by a girl Lily Watch Kick and then all of the  dancers are girls, so i wanted to make sure this like all based around girls because girls are super cool and they should be recognized more."

interviewer: "knowing you there's always gonna do some fierce choreography-"

kenzie: "oh yeah we definitely went above and beyond on this one very hardcore. Rumer Noel choreographed this and i always love when she choreographs my suff, it's very like heavy and cool and yeah i feel like everybody will be doing it at home cuz there's still some movements which is fun."

interviewer: "we love rewinding and trying to replicate the moves"

interviewer: "a lot of artists don't dance and that's okay but i feel like it's something that you really prioritize. why is that important to you?"

kenzie: "um well most of my music is you know like groovy and you can dance to it and i feel like it makes my videos more empowering and like fun and like people want to watch it because they just like see dancers and love dancers and i'm like obsessed with watching dance videos so like i definitely want to make one."

interviewer: "i get a little nostalgic whenever i see you because we really grew up watching you on tv. would you say that your training on 'Dance Moms' helped you get to this point like where you're just nailing choreography constantly. are you thinking about things you learned when you're here in the ring you know giving it your all to the camera?"

kenzie: "oh for sure. i can learn dances in like two minutes if i have to and that definitely helped me and gave me an advantage and also i just learned everything that i know from doing that, so i'm very thankful for it and i wouldn't be dancing if that didn't happen so, i almost quit to like play soccer so that would of been bad."

interviewer: "thank god you didn't we wouldn't have these saucy bops"

interviewer: "is this the new grown-up new Kenzie? is the most mature like the coolest we've seen you yet?"

kenzie: "definitely most mature probably not adult yet like my teenage phase, but yeah i definitely want to be more mature than my music was before and i'm loving it and all my fans are growing up with me so i feel they will completely get it."

interviewer: "we have a little surprise for you. if we can get the ET ipad. a little someone wanted to wish you well today on your big shoot"

kenzie: "awww"

louis: "hi bubba, it's bubs. our friends here told me to send you a little surprise video and i love the idea and i just wanted to tell you how proud i am of you and your new song, it's such a great bop! i love you so much and it's amazing being on this journey with you and seeing you this happy. you are so beautiful, talented, funny and a very kind person. i can't wait to see you soon! i hope this video woke you up a little bit because i know your tired but um yeah that's it. i miss you so so so so so so much and can't wait to see you. love you bubs, bye!"

kenzie: "aww that was so sweet! love you too!"

interviewer: "we melt whenever you guys post something adorable together or just support each other on social media. we wanna know if you two are dating?"

kenzie: "well we wanted to tell this together but since now i can't avoid the question haha. yes. yes we are."

interviewer: "well congrats! how long are you two together?"

kenzie: "a month and a half."

interviewer: "that's very nice. are we already exchanging the L word?"

kenzie: "haha, yeahhhh."

interviewer: "when people watch the music video for 'Motives' how do you hope they feel?"

kenzie: "i just want them to start dancing like that's literally it. i don't care if people like the song i just want them to get up and start dancing with their friends"

interviewer: "i promise your gonna like the song"
