Kuroken oneshot- ;-;
Beep
"Come on, Kuro.."
Beep
"Hm."
Beep
I rolled over on my side squinting in the darkness. The faintest dim light was coming from the corner of the room. I propped myself up on my elbow seeing the small figure.
His blond bangs were visible in the light from his game.
He mumbled softly to himself, probably fed up with whatever he was playing.
I slowly got up from the mat walking over to him.
"It's not wise to stay up this late playing a video game, Kenma."
His shoulders shot up before relaxing as he placed his DS in his lap.
"We have a game tomorrow, you can't just run on coffee."
He shook his head before looking away. I settled down beside him. Waiting.
"What's the point.. we're just going to end up losing. It's not like we can beat them." He mumbled.
"With that attitude, yes, your right."
He scoffed before turning on his DS again. He was in the middle of a battle with a trainer.
"Wait.. what is that-"
At my words he quickly shut the screen, turning away from me.
I grinned at his stunned expression and the rising blush in his cheeks. I rolled my eyes stifling a laugh.
"just a pokemon..." He mumbled. Ah, so this must have been what Lev was talking about. The pokemon name.
"This is what Lev was talking about, right? On the bus I mean."
He nodded stiffly.
I brushed some hair from his face as he turned to me. His face lacked any sort of happy expression. Kenma grabbed his DS opening it up.
I leaned over to see his screen. A small starter pokemon with a stupid grin. I felt a smile spread across my face as I looked at him.
"I did something so it wouldn't evolve.. it has a similar smile that you do.." He mumbled.
I noticed what he meant. It was a level higher than what evolution should be.
"So that's the cute little pokemon you named after me." I smiled a bit at his frown.
"...yeah, whatever.."
I noticed that he was a bit bothered. I turned forward.
"Are you worried...? About tomorrow..?"
"..no, not particularly,"
I could see right through that. I placed his DS in my pocket, wrapping my arm around his shoulder.
"Any balls that those setters hit.. they'll break off my arms." He deadpanned.
I chuckled a bit. "I dunno, maybe if you sleep you might have a chance."
"Don't hold your breath, Kuroo."
He slowly leaned into me.
I grinned. "Is this you about to fall asleep? Or trying to get your game?"
He quickly turned his head away from me. "Your impossible, Kuroo, you know that right..?"
"I know, but so are you." I mumbled gently, placing a kiss on his cheek.
"Now go get some rest, we have a game tomorrow.. We need our setter," I pulled away, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "I need our setter.. to be the best he can be.."
He looked up at me, a small rare Kenma smile spreading across his face.
I nodded at him, before rising up. "Goodnight Pudding Head.."
"... Goodnight Kuro.."
I walked back over to the thin air mattresses, laying down with a sigh. I took his DS out placing it beside me before I felt something else.
I turned my head around seeing Kenma, with a mock pout.
"Hm?"
"Don't bring this up tomorrow." He mumbled, turning away from me and settling down into the other side.
I turned towards him wrapping my arms around his torso. "Goodnight, pretty setter.."
"Goodnight, middle blocker.."
I wrote that all after finishing season 3 today 😞
They weren't in it, but they are so cute, I-
I wanna make a one-shot book-
Not particularly on Haikyuu, but just a oneshot book in general, but idk, maybe
