The moon cast a white haze over a small house in the city of Beacon Hills, I walked up the front porch trying to be as quiet as possible. I heard a loud bang coming from the roof. Great. I continued walking, and heard footsteps coming from the other side of the porch, I slowly started approaching the corner, and as soon as I turned it I was met face to face with none other than my best friend, Scott McCall, holding a baseball bat over his head.
"Scott! Holy shit!" I yelled.
"What the hell are you doing here, it's like 9 o'clock!" He yelled back.
Then, suddenly, my idiotic boyfriend decided to hang down from the roof where he had decided he would try to climb into our best friend's window, causing Scott and I to scream.
"Stiles! What the hell!" Scot yelled again, obviously getting annoyed with us. "What are you both doing here!"
"You weren't answering your phone!" Stiles said as if that was the perfect reasoning for us being here. "Look, I know it's late, but you gotta' listen to me!"
I nodded my head, signaling that he should listen. Scott sighed at this and looked at Stiles.
"Okay, me and Madalynn were busy making out-" "Stiles!" I yelled, reaching out to swat at him. Stiles let out a chuckle, before continuing his story. "-when we heard my dad leaving. Dispatch called. They're bring in every officer from the Beacon Department and even state police."
"For what?" Scott asked.
"Two joggers found a dead body in the woods." I said, Stiles nodded towards me and swung down from his hanging position on the roof.
"A dead body?" Scott asked us.
Stiles looked up at him skeptically, "No, a body of water. Yes, dumbass, a dead body!" He climbed over the railing very awkwardly, and stood next to me, placing his hand on the small of my back and I relaxed into his side.
"You mean like murdered?" Scott questioned.
"Nobody knows yet. Just that it was a girl, probably in her late twenties."
"Wait, hold up. If they found the body, what are they searching for?" Scott understandably asked.
"You know, that's exactly what I asked. " I told him.
"It's the best part though!" Stiles exclaimed, way too happy about a dead body. "They only found half...we're going."

Soon we were pulling into the reserve, normally I would sit in the front next to Stiles, but Scott had made me sit in the back, saying that if he was going to be forced on this little field trip he should at least be comfortable. We parked before the trespassing line; Stiles opened my door and helped me out of the jeep.
"We're seriously doing this?" Scott asked, walking towards the woods, looking around cautiously. Stiles took my hand in his and gave it a squeeze before giving me an adorable smile and pulling me towards Scott.
"You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town." Stiles said to Scott, while handing me a flashlight and winking at me and walking us forward, leaving Scott standing there.
"But I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow!" He complained. I agree, the only reason I'm out here is because it will my boyfriend hapy and if he's happy, I'm happy. But I mean, I don't want to find a dead body as much as anyone. I looked over at Stiles smiling, well except Stiles, he's really excited about this.
"Right!" Stiles yelled back to him, as he maneuvered us through the trees and logs in the forest. "Because sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort!" Scott started to follow us.
