While in exile at Quest Camp, Jeremy is greeted by his conscience, who was created from his unused emotions. Meanwhile, Grayson forces Ioni to fight against Vivendi. But Ioni refuses to fight Vivendi since she's her friend. So Grayson decides to use one of Masiti's modified experiments to fight Ioni.

Chapter 1: Lay low

Mid early morning began to fall on Quest Camp. A lot of it's refugees have fallen asleep in their tents. Inside a blue colored tent, a groggy possum and a down hearted ostrich slept in their sleeping bags. The duo happened to be Chad and Jeremy. Next to them were Taurus the bull and Payton the human who weren't sleeping but stayed up drinking coffee.

Payton's brother; James was sleeping in another tent and Avalanche the ice roc remained outside to be an alarm when dawn would rise. She is like a personal alarm clock but when she lets out her crow, it sounds like a barn owl. Payton dreaded hearing Avalanche's alarm crow and he wanted to sleep through it so he wouldn't hear her. He focused his attention on Jeremy, who he saw was having a nightmare. He could tell by his movements.

"I'm worried about that bird," Payton said to Taurus, who was drinking coffee. "He's been tossing and turning in his sleep." "Chad told me that he does that," scoffed Taurus. "He's having nightmares. Happens to everybody. What's the difference?" "I don't know, Taurus," Payton said, as his eyes widened when looking at Jeremy. "He's whimpering. I can hear him." "He's not a dog, Payton," Taurus said to the human.

"He needs to be in a support group," Payton said Taurus. "He said earlier to me that he has problems. Anyone who's had problems needs to discuss it in a special group. And the support group is one of them. He started to yawn. "What time is it now?" he asked the bull. It's almost 6am," answered the bull.

And it was true. The twilight sky began to fade away to make way for the dawn. The sky was brightened but the sun hadn't risen from the sky yet. "That's our que, Payton," Taurus said to the human, yawing. He then got his blanket and laid down.

"Aren't you going to sleep?" Taurus asked Payton, seeing that his best friend was sleep deprived. "I'm going to," Payton said, drinking his last cup of coffee. "I'm just gonna wait until Jeremy wakes up." "Suit yourself," Taurus said, as the bull closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Payton put his hand on the sleeping ostrich's shoulder. He felt Jeremy flinch in fear and removed his hand. "I think I startled him," Payton said to himself. "That probably wasn't a good idea." He watched as Jeremy began to shift in his sleep and suddenly opened his eyes.

"Dude, were you having a nightmare?" Payton asked Jeremy. "I was," Jeremy said, rubbing his eyes underneath his glasses. "Payton, were you watching me sleep?" "I'm worried about you, Jeremy," said Payton. "You must have had a hard life. I stayed up to make sure you woke up from the nightmare. They say people can die in their sleep and nightmares can cause death if they're not escaped from."
