A glader love story

Where am I?

You suddenly wake up to the loud sound of the box coming up to deliver you to the maze. It's dark you can barely see a thing when the doors of the box slowly open to reveal you, the new greenie to the gladers.

A tall slim blonde haired boy with brown eyes jumps in the box to retrieve you, as you are still laying on the floor of the box.

Everyone is asking the boy what's in the box?

"It's a girl!" he replies with a smile.

He kneels beside you and gives you his hand to help you up. You are scared. All of the boys now surround the box looking down at you and the blonde boy. You take his hand and he helps you up.

You are trembling with fear. You have no idea where you are or why you are there. The boy sees that you are shaking and he tells everyone to leave. They all leave and the boy looks at you, you look at him.

"My names Newt" he says with a smile and he puts out his hand for you to shake. You shake his hand and slightly smile. You're not as frightened as you were before.

"My names Y/N. Where are we? And why is it that the only thing I can remember is my name?"

"Nice to meet you Y/N! Welcome to the glade. Oh and don't worry about that. Everyone here only remembers there name, and nothing else." he says happily.

"I really like your hair." you say then look away from him and you look up at the sky. Newt taps you on the shoulder, you look back at him.

" You like my hair?" he asks blushing.

"Yes!" you reply turning really red.

"Okay. Do you want to get out of this shucking box and have a tour of the glade?" he asks.

"That would be great!" you reply with a huge smile. Newt walks out of the box and you follow him. You're getting more comfortable being around Newt and being in a new place, even though you have no memory about being anywhere else.

The first place Newt shows you is the garden, which is where he works in the glade as a track-hoe. He then shows you and tells you about all the other jobs in the glade. Along the way you meet Alby who is in charge of the whole glade and Newt tells you that's he's second in command. You also meet Minho, Thomas, Chuck, Winston, Frypan, and Gally.

You stay with Newt for the whole day. It's supper time now and Frypan has cooked chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. You eat with Newt in silence. When you're done eating you and Newt meet each other's gaze. You look into each other's eyes for a while. You feel the most comfortable with Newt because he is the only boy that has really talked to you.

Minho then walks over and says " Are you shanks coming to the bonfire tonight?"

"Yes definitely slinthead." Newt replies. He stands up and motions for you to do the same.

"Come on Y/N, let's go to the bonfire. You're our guest of honour!" he says smiling. You blush slightly and nod for him to lead the way.
