In all sixteen years of his life, Izuku didn't expect a girl, no less a pretty one, to ask him to dance. But here he was in a green button up and a black vest, being led to the dance floor by a girl in a long purple dress. She pulled at his scarred hand towards the bustling dance floor. With a yank, he was nose to nose with her. He felt like his soul had been ripped from his body and stolen by her crimson eyes. Right then and there, she stole his heart and pocketed it. She positioned his hands at her waist and laid hers over his stiff shoulders. She spoke softly and her one word released all the tension "Relax." They started awkwardly, not knowing which way to step or who to step. Eventually, they caught a rhythm hand happily waltzed around the floor. Abruptly, he saw the rapidly approaching back of a fellow participant. Before he crashed into his, his world spun and sparked. He instinctively closed his eyes in preparation.
When he reopened them, he saw an empty room with just him and her.
She spoke "How does it feel? You know, to time travel." His jaw dropped and stared at her grin with wide eyes. He sputtered "T-T-Time T-Travel. Holy moly. We just traveled through time. That-that-that's not possible. Wait. Maybe it is. There's a multitude of quirks. Who says one of them can't directly affect the time space continuum." He thoughts were stopped by her amused giggle. He was surprised when her gloved hands slowly interlaced with his hands.
She got close and spoke directly into his face "I've missed you so much. I've spent so long looking for you. Even just for a second, I hoped to hear your cute muttering. You really are one of a kind, huh Honey." Izuku's face erupted into a violent blush. He stuttered "H-h-h-huh H-h-h-h-honey?! I-I-I dont know you." She smirked at seductively replied "Oh you will, Honey~. You'll learn all about me, in due time." Izuku turned away embarrassed. Unfortunately, the girl turned his face back to hers with a single finger. When their eyes met again, the raw emotion in her eyes sent shivers down Izuku's spine. "Oh for so long have I gone without your gaze, your love. I've missed you Izuku." Again, Izuku began stuttering only to be stopped by her gloved finger against his lips. She continued "Don't worry. Let's enjoy this while it lasts. This time I'm going to be your first. There's no Uraraka to stop me." The mention of Uraraka caught his attention but took his thought away from her incoming face. He was startled by their colliding lips. After a few confused moments, he couldn't help but relish in his first kiss. This strange girl who leapt through time had stolen his first kiss and left an imprint in his brain. They slowly pulled apart. Izuku could only muster a confused "Huh?!" The silver haired girl giggled and spoke "Wait for me alright. I'll be with you again. The future isn't exactly where I want to be right now anyway." Izuku tilted his head. The girl waved him off and continued "I'll come back for you. Only when the time is right. Take care and make sure to tuck in your button up tomorrow." Izuku replied with a confused "Tomorrow?!" She nodded "Yep, tomorrow. The ball is tomorrow. Welcome to the past, Izuku Midoriya." She disappeared in an explosion of light and sparks. Izuku rubbed his eyes and hoped it was all real.
——————————The Future———————
Izuku held her tightly in his arms. Eri clung to him as the looming shadow of Overhaul towered over them. Together they fought their heart out and survived the onslaught on the Shie Hassaikai.
Izuku paced the cluttered halls of the hospital. Down one side of the hallway was Nighteye's room, where he was fighting for his life. The other end was Eri's room, where she was being watched over as she recovered form passing out. Abruptly an alarm rang and doctors ran down the hall toward Nighteye's room. Trailing them was Mirio who had tears falling down his cheeks. Izuku heard something through the chaos. A soft crying echoed out from the other end of the hall. He broke into a sprint towards Eri's room. The alarm over Nighteye had left Eri alone. Izuku bursted through the door and caught the terrified look on Eri's face. He cradled her head against his chest and smoothed out her frazzled hair. He softly whispered to her "It's okay. I'm here. I'll keep you safe." His words coaxed out more tears form the little girl. From over Eri's shoulder, Izuku saw a crazy sight. She was there. The girl from the ball was watching him. She slowly walked towards the cuddled form of him and Eri. The girl laid her hand on the little girls shoulder. Eri turned around and met her soft gaze. Izuku watched the two like looking at a reflection. They were one in the same, except older and younger. The older girl hugged them both and whispered to Izuku "Thank you, Honey. For saving me over and over again." Izuku resulted to just holding both of the girls. Izuku spoke to her "You're Eri, aren't you?" The older girl nodded and tried to hold back tears. Izuku continued "You fell in love with me in the future didn't you?" Older Eri nodded again and weakly spoke "I did and still do. I lost you, I can't even remember when. I've lost track of time. I've spent what feels like an eternity looking for a place in time to be with you. It's been so hard. I've been alone all this time. That time in the ballroom was the first time I spoke with you since you died. I meant it when I said I missed you." Izuku was suddenly overwhelmed by emotion. He fell in love with this girl in the future and lived a happy life. They shared a love so strong that she traveled through just to see him again. She risked the future to experience him.
The feelings from their first meeting returned and he slammed his lips to hers. They happily kissed but stopped when young Eri squirmed in Izuku's embrace. Older Eri spoke "I want to stay with you here." Izuku replied "Can you? With this younger Eri, wouldn't there be problems?" Older Eri added "I've been through time a lot and I haven't experienced anything devastating." Izuku added "What about this younger Eri won't it be weird?" Young Eri glanced back and forth between them. Older Eri laughed softly and wiped her tears away "I'm much different than this Eri. I can barely remember my childhood. I want to live this life with you." Izuku hugged younger Eri and said "Okay. If this is what you want, then I have no problems." They sealed the deal with a passionate kiss and a group hug surrounding young Eri.
