Abila sat at the very back of the library, at an actual table this time as she was accompanied by her English assignment partner, writing out notes at the speed of light. Her partner, on the other hand, just sat across from her, his head supported by his left arm while he used the other to scroll through his phone.
Suna looked up from his phone when he heard the girl sing quietly as she wrote. His head was filled with questions about his silent partner, she seemed so out of place in their class. She didn't talk to anyone and to his knowledge, she wasn't part of any clubs. He didn't even know she existed until he was paired up with her.
Abila's hand suddenly stopped, dropping her pen aggressively and with a small smile on her face she looked up at Suna, nodding. "That's my part done."
Suna raised his eyebrows at the girl. "How are you so smart but still in Class 1?" Abila let out an awkward chuckle as she rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment.
"It's just English I'm good at. I'm a dumbass involving anything else. I also procrastinate a lot." She looked away sheepishly while saying that last part, knowing full well that this assignment is due next week and they have had a whole month to do it.
A look of realization came over Suna as he sat up properly to look at the girl. "I noticed that your English is very good. Are you fluent?"
Abila nodded eagerly. "Yeah, I have an online friend who's from England so I have been getting a lot of practice." She closed her notebook and started putting away her stuff. "Plus I listen to a lot of music which has helped me work on my pronunciation a lot."
The boy shook his head and chuckled, closing his eyes as he leaned back in his seat. "I noticed you're always listening to music, even in class." Opening one eye, he looked at her ear. "Even right now."
Abila brought her hand up to her right ear. Behind the long brown hair was a Bluetooth earphone, perfectly hidden from sight. A look of panic came over the girl as she tried to move her hair around to make sure that the earphone was properly hidden from sight. "Is it really that noticeable?"
Suna shrugged. "Not really, I only got a glimpse of it when you leaned forward to put away your things. What are you listening to?" The boy leaned forward again, supporting his head with both his hands this time around.
Red coated Abila's cheeks as she opened up her phone to look at her playlist. "A... Playlist?" She answered, but it sounded more like a question. Suna raised an eyebrow and smirked, implying that he wanted to know the name of this 'playlist'. Sighing, Abila showed the phone into the boy's face, her own reddening even more from the embarrassment.
'hanging with suna'
The said boy looked confused. "You have a whole playlist for when we hang out? To my knowledge, we have only ever worked on our English projects and that doesn't exactly count as a hangout."
"Well, I-..." Abila looked down shyly and pulled her phone on the table. Pulling her hands closer to herself, she curled up into a ball (as much as she could on a chair) and made her pointer fingers touch repeatedly. "I like making playlists and I just made one based on what mood hangouts with you would be." Her voice was considerably lower than before.
Suna picked up the girl's phone and scrolled through the songs in the playlist. He was heavily judging it. "It's not bad." He declared after looking through half of the songs. "Quite a lot of Arctic Monkeys but I'm not complaining. I like the band." He looked at the currently playing song. "Arabella? And on repeat too." Chuckling he put the phone back down and looked at the girl. "You got good music taste."
Looking away from Abila, his cheeks took on a rosy color as he brought a hand to his neck to nervously scratch it. "And I guess the playlist is a bit accurate."
The girl looked up suddenly, a bright smile taking its place on her face. She seemed to be very happy about Suna's comment. "Thank you! I put a lot of effort into my playlists." Picking up her phone from the table, she chuckled. "I bet my soulmate is sick of Arabella now."
Suna turned his attention back to his phone. "How long have you been listening to it?"
"... It's been stuck in my head ever since you told me we're working on our assignment."
"Yeah, they are definitely sick of it."

"Samu, look!" Atsumu elbowed his brother, gaining the younger twin's attention. Osamu looked at his brother, still chewing on his onigiri, and hummed as a response. Atsumu pointed eagerly towards the cafeteria doors, where two familiar people stood talking to each other. "Suna is talking to a girl!" Grinning, Atsumu turned to the grey-haired boy. "Five bucks that she's asking him out."
Osamu just ignored his idiotic brother and continued to eat. He soon regretted it when he remembered that Arabella was still playing on repeat in his head. His head was about to explode. Today of all days he forgot to bring any painkillers.
Suna soon finished his conversation with the girl and made his way towards the twins' table. He greeted them both with a simple hello, sitting down next to Atsumu who looked even smugger than usual. "What is it?" Suna's face contorted into one of annoyance as he turned his head slightly towards the boy.
Atsumu's grin widened. "So who was that girl?" He asked curiously. "What did she want?"
Suna rolled his eyes and put his head on the table. "A classmate of ours. We were working on our English assignment." At that, Atsumu scoffed and turned to Osamu who held his left hand out and motioned for his twin to pay up while he continued to eat with his right.
Pulling out his wallet, Atsumu handed a bill to Osamu and turned away from the two, pouting. "Not fair. You probably knew that already Samu." Said boy shook his head. "Huh?"
Swallowing his food Osamu took a sip of his water. "I didn't actually know she was in our class. Haven't seen her around before and- oh my fucking god finally!" The boy sighed in relief as soon as the music has stopped.
"It's only been like a day Samu. Ya had worse before." Atsumu pointed out and Suna just looked at the two in confusion. "His soulmate was listening to a song on repeat again." The blonde clarified.
"I know I've had worse before, but there is only so much Arctic Monkeys I can listen to."This caught Suna's attention. He asked Osamu to explain what he meant by his statement who just sighed out in frustration. "Ever since yesterday, my soulmate has been listening to Arabella. I have nothing against the song, it just gets frustrating after I have listened to it 100 times on repeat. I don't know how my soulmate does it."
Not Suna thinking that Abila and Osamu might be soulmates. Definitely not.
((I had this chapter and the next three written a year ago but I just kind of just fell into a period of depression?and i just couldn't be bothered continuing it. BUT I got a tattoo of Atsumu, if anyone was wondering, which made me want to actually finish this book.
