Part 8

"Hey, I'm sorry. Did you wait long?" asked Winnie to Jude who was standing in front of her mom's car.

"Not really, let's go my mom's waiting" answered Jude opening her car door. "But why did it took so long for you to just grab your water?"

"Oh I met Heath and Piper, they looked like they were rehearsing a duet or something. It was probably for the test." answered Winnie.

"Great info, so Heath- what did he do?" asked Jude curious.

"What is it with you and him?" asked Winnie slaping Jude's thigh playfuly.

"He used to be my bestfriend back in kindergarten, he doesn't remember me. But now I know he's into you, I want you guys to get together so me and him can be friends and we can talk then maybe he'll remember me" answered Jude.

"You can just talk to him" said Winnie.

"Yeah but I ship you guys together so why not?" said Jude.

"Well, he's still acting weird" said Winnie. "I told him that I was going to have a sleepover at your house and he said 'good luck'"

"adorable." commented Jude.

"What part of that is adorable?" asked Winnie.

"Well Cleo is not the type of that soft girl, so I don't really get to experience that kind of shy side of her." replied Jude.

"at least it's not awkward"  said Winnie. Jude shrugged and laugh, "touché" said Jude.

At Grace's House.
"I know what's best for you!" yelled a middle-aged woman to Grace.

"I know what I want, Mom!" yelled Grace back.

"Hey I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in my house, what is going on?" asked Grace's father who seems to just got back from work.

"Your daughter here wants to give up her school final exam just for a test to get into a stupid dance." said Grace's mom.

"It's NOT a stupid dance, it's Nationals! I can get into Senior High easily with scholarship. And dance is my life, you know competing at Nationals is my dream." said Grace.
"I want to go to Nationals, even if I have to repeat my grade."

"Grace-" called her father softly.

"Well young lady, while you're living under my roof you'll do as I say, and I said no." denied Grace's mom.

"But that's not fair! All my friends are doing the test!" said Grace.

"Well most of them are homeschooled, so they can do it but not you." said her mom still denying Grace's request.

"Ugh!" yelled Grace to her mom, she took her bag on her living room's couch.

"Where are you going?" asked Grace's father.

"Jude's" answered Grace slamming the front door.

Presley is sitting alone playing with her phone when she caught a glimpse of Richelle walking into The Next Steep.
"Richelle!" called Presley standing up from her seat.

"Uh-huh, what do you want?" said Richelle cold.

"I want to ask you something"

"If it's about the test I'm leaving"
