I wake up to light shinning in my face and i groan, rolling over.
. "Good morning" I hear a voice say.
I open my eyes wide and see a bright dingy colored ceiling.
this is not my room I think to myself. Then I remember what happened.
I groan even more and shove my hand into the pillow that smelled kind of moldy.
. "Are you okay?" Max asks me. I turn my head and glare at him
"do I even have to answer that question?" I growl out.
He backs up a couple of feet raising his hands in a stopping motion.
. "Okay, I guess that's a stupid question " I flop onto my back "you think?"
I rub at my eyes before sitting up against the moldy pillow.
"I bought some breakfast. McDonald's" he grabs the fast food bag off the small brown coffee table by the door and hands it to me.
The contents of the bag still warm. I open the bag, the paper crinkling and look inside.
A biscuit egg and bacon sandwich sits in its wrapper along with a hash brown. how did he know that's my favorite?
I slowly trail my gaze up to him and I notice he is watching me. "thanks" I say slowly.
The corners of his mouth slowly turns up in a small smile. "No problem. Now eat up. We have to leave before noon"
after I ate I only had 24 minutes to get ready to leave since I woke up late. He stepped outside a while ago to take a phone call and When I looked outside I didn't see him.
I found a grocery bag sitting in the rusty bathroom sink with essentials, toothbrush, toothpaste and clothes.
I brush my teeth, looking in the mirror I see my hair, a ratty mess and I sigh trying to run a hand through it but give up when it just snags my fingers.
I grab the clothes and notice they are just my size. This is kind of getting creepy.
I change into a loose black and white striped shirt and dark wash skinny jeans.
I open the door, Only to run right into somebody. A somebody that's not Max.
"What's a girl like you doing here all alone?"
