A/N Sorry guys, somehow my prologue got put on private, so I'm posting it again! So if you don't follow me, then here you go. If you do, then just ignore this. Thanks!

“This is it. This summer everything’s gonna change, okay?” Rae declared as her, Bex, and Josie looked at me for reassurance.

It was Friday night and we were sitting in our usual booth at Rubino’s Pizzeria, talking about our plans for the summer. We’d just finished our junior year and had decided things needed to change. The four of us, as well as most of our other friends, had been what you may call, “innocent,” throughout all of high school. We never really partied or did anything that may come with that, but senior year would be different

I sat there listening to the three of them contemplate how to branch out, thought about how my life had gone so far, and came to a conclusion. I took a deep breath and finally said, “Okay, I’m in.”

My best friends squealed in excitement and then started making plans.

“There’s a party at Luke’s house tomorrow night. Let’s check that out and go from there.” Bex stated as if this was something we normally did, but it definitely wasn’t.

“Luke, as in committed to play soccer at UVA, Luke?” I asked in shock, wondering how we’d possibly get into an older guy’s party when we’d never even been to one thrown by someone our own age.

Rae looked at me skeptically and answered, “Yes, Blair, that Luke. Zack’s known him for years and said he can get us in.” Zack was Rae’s boyfriend who happened to be a year older than us, headed to Virginia Tech in the fall.

“Okay, I wonder if Brody will be there…” I mumbled, afraid of what their reactions would be.

Josie shook her head at me and laughed, “obviously he’ll be there, Blair. He is Luke’s best friend.”

Even though she should’ve been amused by my statement, Rae looked serious. She put her hand on mine, which had been tapping the table incessantly. She looked at me and said, “Blair, you need to just tell him how you feel. You expect him to just know telepathically or something. He’s a boy, he’s oblivious.”

I pulled my hand away and started to chew on my nails. I then whispered, “What’s the point? There’s no way he feels the same way.”

“Damn it, Blair, shut up! Can you please stop saying things like that?” Rae shouted, frustrated. “You are the best person I know and you can’t even see it. If he doesn’t see it, then he’s not worth it! So stop stressing and just tell him how you feel!” She stood up, grabbed Bex's arm and stomped out of the restaurant. Josie looked at me sympathetically before standing up and following them out.
