Chapter 4

𝗜𝘇𝘂𝗸𝘂'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩

On my way to school I run into Uraraka.

"Heyyyy Deku!!!!!" She yells from across the sidewalk " You weren't awnsering my texts or calls last night... did something happen..? Was your father home?"

Ochaco Uraraka. My best friend. I've never really told her about my father. But she has the intuition of a prophet... It's like she can read my mind. It's terrifying. She also came over to my house when my father was home once... I'm pretty sure she heard plates being thrown. Though I've never really went into detail about the situation and have asked her muiltiple times not to talk about it with anyone.

"No, he wasn't." I say.

"Was that asshole Bakugo bullying you?" She says as fury starts to build in her eyes.

Another thing to know about Uraraka, is if you mess with her or one of her friends. She'll put you in your place. She's the most protective person I know.

I respond with a shrug.

"Deku. I can tell your hiding something... you seem down. You're usually so chatty and hyper"

"It's nothing."

"Nuh uh! It most definitly ISN'T nothing mister!!" She awnsers. As she places her hand on her hips in a sassy remark. "Though if you don't want to talk that's fine as well. Just know your pal Ochaco is always here to help! Okay..?"

"Yeah, thanks."

It's nice to know I can count on Uraraka.

During our walk she talked about our assignments. She personally thinks the teachers need to learn how to give a healthy amount if homework. She does have a point... It took me 3 hours to complete a single assignment. Plus there's all the studying for upcoming exams.

Once we arrive at school I notice Kacchan leaning against one of the school walls.

We make eye contact. He looked irritated though. Guess he's back to his usual self.

"Who're you looking at Bakugo!? Hm?? Don't you dare glare at Izuku!!" Uraraka starts.

"Why should I listen to you, round face?" He said with irritability.

"Well why should Izuku have to deal with that disgusting regard you give him?"

Kacchan looks at Uraraka up and down than glances at me. Afterwards walking away.

"Wow. That actually worked?? Pfffft-" Uraraka starts to giggle. "Well that's a first."

I watch him as he walks away. I was just as shocked as Uraraka. Kacchan never accepts defeat. But just now, it seemed like he did.

"Something went down between you two, am I right?" She looked at me with a cheeky smile.

"I guess so."

"What... Did you confess your love to him or something? Now he's speechless or..."

"URARAKA!!" I respond with embarrasment. As I look arorund to see if anyone heard.

"GASP! DID YOU??"

"No."

"Pffft- Alright, I still don't see why you like him so much."

Honestly, Uraraka is the one who opened the possibility that I liked Kacchan. She says the fact that I've followed him for ages makes it obvious... And she's not wrong... Personality wise... he kinda sucks. He's arrogant, selfish... But strong-minded, always has a goal to follow, and does anything to get there. Then there's looks... I personally never think about the way he looks. Other than the fact he usually looks like he wants to kill me. But a ton of the girls in school fall for him. He's one of the hottest boys in school. Though yet again, that's only crossed my mind thanks to Uraraka.

"Well I better head to class! Don't forget, we're meeting up with Todoroki and Tsu at lunch!!"

"See ya then!" I say.

Once I arrive to class I notice Kacchan at his desk... Considering the fact that I'm usually the first one in class all the time thanks to Uraraka making sure I go to school early. It was surprising seeing Kacchan sitting there. His desk is placed right infront of mine so I see him there every day.

Usually he dosen't come early.. I occasionally see him outside, and he avoids our class until his group of friends come. But today was different. Infact everything was different. Ever since the accident yesterday Kacchans been acting strange.

"You gonna sit or what?"

I have to stop getting lost in my thoughts... I always end up in awkward situations like this...

As I sit down, I set my things up for the upcoming class, then I grab some of my book work, trying to double check if I had made any mistakes.

Kacchan just stayed at his desk, slouched in his chair as per usual, probably taking a nap. 30 minutes later and he's still in the same position. Now some students are walking in the class.

"Hey Bakubro! What're you doing in class so early? Oh, and hey Midoriya!" exclaimed a classmate.

That's Eijiro Kirishima, one of Kacchan's friends. A kind classmate. Kirishima mostly knows me thanks to the fact that Kacchan has made many scenes bullying me in class. He's never really supported it though. We were also team mates once in Science. We did a project on Astroids together. He's a pretty laid back guy, but almost as determined as Kacchan.

"Fuck off, Shitty hair." Kacchan speaks.

"Just wondering why you're here so early man..."

"Cause I felt like it!!"

"Yeah, yeah. Well class is about to start!"

~𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀~

"Midoriya." A cold voice called

"Hey Todoroki! How's it going??" I turn to face the half n' half haired boy.

Shoto Todoroki is one of my few friends. He's quite composed and quiet. Also very intelligent. I met him once after my books fell into the school fountain. He had helped me recover most of what I needed. He's also known Uraraka since elementary school. They were clasemates, and only became friends once highschool started.

"I'm fine, you?"

"I'm alright."

"Hey guys!" Uraraka chimed.

"Hey Uraraka, hey Tsuyu!" I say

"Call. Me. Tsu."

"Oh ya sorry....Tsu." I retort.

I met Tsuyu Asui thanks to Uraraka, they met sometime after I had met Uraraka. Tsuyu's a cirious girl. She always knows the schools latest drama, bringing it up and sharing it to everyone at lunch. Like it's a part of her routine. She probably gets it from Mina Ashido, the one who starts the gossip.

We all find a place to eat in the cafeteria.

"Did you hear... Momo Yaoyorozu aksed Bakugo out today..." Tsu starts. "I bet Bakugo will have to accept... Momo is the most popualr girl... And he's the most popular guy.... They'd be perfect together!!" 

Bakugo was asked out...by Momo..?

"I heard he rejected her." Spoke Todoroki. "He didn't even think about it, he just responded 'no.'"

"Wait really?? Wow! He must have his eyes set on someone else if he didn't even take anytime to think!!" Continued Tsu. "Maybe he's dating someone secretly!!" She exclaimed.

Could he really be..? I could feel my stomach start to churn. I think Uraraka noticed me having a fret... Because right after Tsu finished her ramble she responded.

"Bakugo? Dating someone? I doubt it. I'm pretty sure he thinks dating is a waste of time. And if he did like someone, I'm pretty sure he would've confessed already." Then she faced me and whispered "But maybe that dosen't apply to everyone..." She said with a wink.

"What was that?" Todoroki said.

"Nothing. Just Bakugo's kinda a wimp, is all." She shrugged.
