Why I'm alive

My mind takes over it screams die,

my mouth opens and only lies.

No one will notice, no one will care

you useless thing why are you here?

No purpose in mind thoughts come alive

destroy yourself now, you can't thrive!

Rip your skin! Burn your hand!

We will win, don't make a stand.

No one loves you, you pathetic waste.

Why do you try and fail in haste?

Us demons rule; you can't do anything

try and see that you are nothing!

Lies they told "I'll never leave"

where are they now? stupid idiot, you believed

That broken smile fools them all

they think your happy when you feel so small

The reason you're here, what is it?

That far off promise losing bit by bit.

I wanted to die, I wanted to leave

just to end this pain I did plead

But that far off promise keeping me alive

"I will if you will" the reason i'll survive.

That promise saves me again and again

without it I'd be gone. It is my God send.

My hope remains in that promise alone.

No one can get that meaning beneath

those softly spoken words that make my heart beat.
