It felt like my heart had fell into my stomach and shattered right then and there. My lungs were caving in and my brain had chickened out. His feet stepped closer toward me.

"Who.. what?" He said, confused sounding.

The pieces of my heart raced.

"Excuse me, can you come out of under the... covers?"

I couldn't breath.

He had asked me to uncover myself! I had always been socially awkward and did my best to avoid human contact, I wasn't ready for this. But Cameron! You went to some party so how does that support any of this?  Yeah, I know I did. I let out a sigh, as much as it was wobbly and crooked sounding, I opened my eyes and began to emerge out from the duvet.

"Heh, sorry I was hiding, I fall under pressure and hide," I managed, looking down at my fingers. The boy was silent, but I knew he was watching me. I looked up in curiosity.

"Sor--"  I stopped, my shock took my speech out of my mouth. I felt paralysed almost. I froze. I couldn't come to sense with the last couple seconds. My whole body failed on me as I rested my eyes on him.

"No!" Liam cried. "Why?-- No! You shouldn't be here, Cam!"

I still couldn't talk. The boy was Liam. The boy was Liam! One of my close friends! How could this have happened?

Liam hugged me. Tears rolled down our cheeks, the same questions running through our heads.

"Liam... how?"

He sniffed.

"What?"

"Sorry," I managed. "How did you get here?"

Liam paused for a minute and looked away from me. He looked to the wooden planks that made up the floor, almost ashamed looking.

"My dad asked me to come here," He began. "He said this was where he worked." He looked at me. "I had no clue what this building was for, as he never told us where he worked or what his job was. I've told you that before, haven't I?"

"Yeah."

"Well, like a good son I am, I came over to help my dad, just like he asked. But little did I know, as soon as I would walk in, guards would swarm me and chuck me into this room, with you."

Liam got up from the bed and walked around the bedroom.

"Obviously, I fought back but then I saw my father, standing outside here. Just looking at me with this horrific grin. It was... terrifying. I had never seen him like that before."

"Oh," I said, getting up from the bed to stand next to him.

The daylight went dull. I watched as the trees swayed and the butterflies flew. It looked so peaceful outside, yet what was happening inside wasn't so happy and kind. It was-- honestly, very annoying. Even though I liked to spent my days alone or with my friends, my garden was my heaven. I could be myself there. I stared into the single window that overlooked the garden for awhile, just thinking about how much I missed mine.
