Jihyo's POV.

I just got home from work and opened the door. All the lights were off so I turned it on. Then everyone jumped out, shouting 'SURPRISE'! I jumped back and smiled so wide it hurt my cheeks.

Jihyo: "Guys, thanks."

They sang happy birthday to me and I blew it out. I looked in the back and saw Y/n. She smiled at me before disappearing into the kitchen.

Jihyo: "You guys go ahead and cut the cake."
Chaeyoung: "Okay, hurry back unnie, you need to open our presents."
Jihyo: "I will."

I put my bag down on the couch and went into the kitchen. Y/n was the type of person to not really come out for parties or anything. She's like Mina, an introvert and my best friend.

Jihyo: "Don't want any cake?"
Y/n: "Nah."
Jihyo: "Didn't expect to see you here, thought you were busy tonight."
Y/n: "Of course I would come for my best friend's birthday. You came for mine so I came for yours."
Jihyo: "Thanks for coming, let's get back out-
Y/n: "Jihyo?"
Jihyo: "Hm?"

I looked at her and she chuckled and stepped closer to me to hold my hands.

Y/n: "Happy 24th birthday."

She leaned in and kissed me really close to the lips.

Jihyo: "Is that my present?"
She laughed.
Y/n: "No, I'll give you my present later. For now let's go and enjoy your special day."

She held my hand and pulled me out.

Hours later.

We finished cleaning up.

Jihyo: "Thanks for this guys, I'll see you tomorrow yeah?"
Nayeon: "Sure thing girl. Congratulations, you're getting old."
Jihyo: "You're almost 30, be quiet."
Nayeon: "YAH!"

I laughed and bid everyone goodbye. It was just me and Y/n now.

Jihyo: "So about that present?"
She looked away with a smile then looked at me again.
Y/n: "I need to tell you something too."
Her face got serious and I reached for her hands.
Jihyo: "Hey, you can tell me anything."
Y/n: "I know, I'm scared that you're gonna hate me after."
Jihyo: "I won't."

She held my hands too and began.

Y/n: "We've been friends for years and I know it's stupid of me that I fell for you Jihyo, but I can't keep these feelings hidden anymore. It's just hurting me."
Jihyo: "How long have you liked me?"
Y/n: "The day we became friends. Please don't say you want to end our friendship because of this."

She looked at me waiting for an answer. I smiled and reached for her cheek.

Jihyo: "Why are you sorry for having feelings for me?"
Y/n: "Because you don't like me back-
Jihyo: "I do like you back, I love you Y/n. You must have been hurting all these years baby."
I squeezed her cheek and she nuzzled into my palm which made me smile for the nth time that day.

Jihyo: "Sorry I didn't tell you about my feelings either N/n. Now, where's my present?"

She laughed and pushed me away in a jokingly manner.

Y/n: "Is that all you care about?"
Jihyo: "Kinda."

Then she pulled me back into her arms and our faces came close to each other.

Jihyo: "Y-Y/n."
Y/n: "You wanted your present so bad, here it is."

She was gonna kiss me but I beat her to it.

Y/n: "Fuck this."
Jihyo: "What-

She lifted me up and ran to my bedroom. We started stripping each other naked without breaking the kiss when Y/n pulled back in pain.

Y/n: "Ow."
Jihyo: "What-

Her lower lip was bleeding and I rushed to wipe it away with my hand.

Jihyo: "Oh my god, I'm sorry baby."
Y/n: "It's fine-

I licked the blood off her lip and she seemed to enjoy it because she kissed back. And the rest was history.
