I am the meerkat
Buried beneath the sand.
I'm always on high alert
When my head is above land.
I am the meerkat,
Looking left and right.
I'm always overthinking
About what's just out of sight.
I am the meerkat,
Which isn't great to be.
I spend all of my time worrying,
Instead of being me.
I don't want to be the meerkat,
I want to be the lion.
I wish to be big and brave and strong,
And stand upon the horizon.
