"So, what are your plans after high school?" Minjeong asked while we eat our ice creams. "I don't know yet.. how about you? Do you have any plans?" I asked her back. "Well, you know I really want to be an Idol. After high school, I'll audition to various entertainments." She spoke as her eyes were full of hope and determination. I want to be like her, strong and always hopeful.

"You're not going to college?" I looked at her. "Well, obviously I won't if I'll be an idol." She said with sass and laughed, I smiled at her I know she'll become an idol soon. I'm rooting for her.

Minjeong and I, we're girls with dreams.. but here we are buying everything that's edible, passing our tasks late. But it was fun, our dreams can wait.

"Bye! Yooji!" Minjeong smiled and waved goodbye at me as I enter my house. I sat down at our dinning table, mom was cooking our dinner. "Mom, do you think being an idol suits me?" I asked her while I lay my head on my hand. "Anything, any profession suits you darling." She turned to me and smiled sweetly. Everyone around me always smiled widely.

"Yooji!" She called. I walked to her, I can already tell that she was gonna tell me big news as I saw how excited her tone of voice when she called my name.

"Yeah?"

"Mom, enrolled me to a dance academy!"

"Congrats!"

She gave me a flyer of the dance academy that she'll be attending. The address is near from the vocal academy that I was attending, a little back story; mom forced me to attend vocal academy and I'm a little bit thankful that she forced me as my singing somewhat helped me in terms of grades.

"I'm glad you're reaching your dreams little by little." I smiled at her and averted my gaze. "Hey! I actually think you fit to be an idol too someday!" She tried cheering me up, I honestly don't know why I kind of felt the blues when she told me about her being an idol. Minjeong's my only best friend, I don't know what I'll do without her.

But if it makes her happy then it should make me happy too.

"Nothing.." I shrugged.

"Jimin, a little bit higher please for this note." My vocal teacher said.

And again from the top I sang the whole song and tried to hit the last high note at the end. Thank goodness I successfully did the high note with ease. After that was break time, so I headed outside the academy and went to buy some spicy rice cakes in one of the stalls. I only bought two sticks since I wasn't that hungry, the spicy flavor and hot temperature of the rice cake matched perfectly with the current season. Winter, it was snowing outside.

While eating my rice cake, I suddenly remembered how Minjeong would always associate me with the winter season. During our elementary days we used to walk to home together as she lived at the same neighborhood as mine, but they moved after our grade school graduation so now we don't walk home together. She said that the winter season has a somewhat relation to the dark shade of blue, like my hair. She also described winter to be cold and pale, and you guessed it I'm.. cold and pale, but I don't really agree that much to the cold part.

Or maybe I did seem cold to everyone around me..

I stopped eating my rice cake as I felt a touch on my shoulder. "Sorry to startle you but I was amazed by your visuals and vocals, I heard you earlier in the academy sang." The old lady gasped in between, maybe she was trying to find me? I don't know what to do with the compliment that she has given me. I'm not even sure if that was a compliment.

"T-thank you." I bowed at her as a sign of appreciation and respect. "I was wondering if you're interested in auditioning at SM Entertainment, maybe?" She handed me a pink business card, written on it was the contact details of the said entertainment. Of course when I heard the label name I was mystified as I processed everything that she said. SM Entertainment? Isn't that like one of the big three of k-pop? And someone is scouting me here in the cold winter to audition at the entertainment? "I-I'll think about that ma'am." I bowed again as I tried to run as fast as I can back to the academy building.
