Chapter // 3

It was lunch time, and Perrie was sat alone in the precinct's lunch room. She was the first one to be given the break, after Zayn and Marcus gave her the whole backstory of Perrie Edwards and their plans to catch him. Perrie was laughing internally the whole time they were talking. While eating her salad, Perrie was typing away on her phone all the information that Zayn had given her. She needs to be one step ahead of the game. All the theories about her being a man, made her angry, wanting to kill someone.

She couldn’t forget the anger on Zayn’s eyes whenever he talked about Perrie Edwards. The way his lips trembled and his nostrils opened were making Perrie realize that Zayn hated losing. Besides protecting the lives of the people, Zayn also hated the fact that he was losing to a psychotic killer. He wanted to catch Perrie Edwards and be recognized as a hero. Perrie did like the persistence on Zayn’s voice, but she knew he was fooling himself. He doesn’t even know what he is getting himself into.

Perrie watched her fellow new colleagues talk among themselves while standing by the canteen line to receive their food. Perrie didn’t like any of them. When they were introducing themselves, she couldn’t care less about their names. They would be dead anyway. All of them, once they had their food, walked over to Perrie’s table and sat down, continuing their individual conversations. 

“So Perrie how was your first day?” Niall asked while taking a sip from his orange juice. Perrie hated him the most. He looked too cheerful and excited to be here. His voice irritated her ears. She couldn’t even bear to be around him, but she had no choice. It was either fit in or be found.

“Was alright. I learned a lot about the Perrie Edwards case. I hope we get to catch the bad guy and then I can become the only Perrie Edwards.” Perrie joked and all of them laughed, as if she told the joke of the century. They all looked so stupid to her. They were easy to fool. They were boring as well. Perrie was sure going to enjoy ruining the lives of those around her. 

“I had a great time. Liam and I learned so much about sociopaths today, that I believe every one of my exes are socios!” Amira jested and Perrie cringed underneath her skin. This girl was just as annoying as Niall. She probably felt superior because Zayn paid a little extra attention to her. Everyone noticed how he was carefully watching her during hers and Liam’s meeting with Lillian. Lillian was another bitch that Perrie couldn’t stand. 

Perrie was great at pretending to actually like people and enjoy their company, but with the passing of time, human beings have become much more annoying than Perrie expected. They always talked more than they had to, always exposing their lives out there for everyone to see. They start trouble and then are too lazy to fix things. People were disgusting and Perrie felt bigger and better than them. 

“Today we learned how to hack people’s account. We need to learn how to track people without them knowing we are onto them. It was interesting.” Jesy shared and everyone agreed and nodded towards her, as if they knew what she was talking about. Niall started giving his side of the story and explaining how did it work.

“We had to learn about the male and female anatomy. We were interesting until we had to write a thesis on a past case of a man found without his urethra. It was nasty.” Jake divulged and Perrie actually laughed. She probably would have done the same, kill a man and leave him without a urethra. She can only imagine the face of the people in the forensic unit.

Perrie tuned out of the conversation when she noticed Zayn, Marcus, Leigh, Louis, Lillian and Jade having lunch a couple of tables away. Zayn kept looking over at their table and Perrie looked at where he was staring and flinched when she realize it was the bitch with the white hair. Perrie remembered back in the day when teenagers would hate white hair, because it was associated with old people. And now they are dying their hairs because of the change in fashion. Hypocrites.

“We should do something tonight, get to know each other better and maybe even invite our supervisors for some fun. I mean we are all old enough.” Harry suggested and Perrie really wanted to high five the curly idiot. The only proper sentence he said today was the only one that mattered to Perrie. She needs to find another boy toy.

“That would actually be great. I would love to get to know Louis. He is incredibly smart.” Niall said and Perrie rolled her eyes. She couldn’t care less about the supervisors or mentors or whatever they called themselves’ personalities. She wanted to find their weaknesses and destroy them one by one.

“Someone should go over there and ask them about it.” Harry proposed and they all looked at each other. Perrie pointed at Amira and coughed calling the attention of everyone. They all looked at where she was pointing and agreed on having Amira ask their supervisors to come with them.

“Fine.” Amira gave up and stood up from the table. Perrie watched with a certain disgust at how Amira pretended to not want to go talk to the supervisors. She enjoyed the attention she was getting today. Perrie knew that bitch felt like she was on top of the world.

Perrie saw Amira walk up to the supervisors’ table and she paid close attention to Zayn’s face. He looked smitten by Amira and Perrie could only imagine what was going through his head. The way his eyes focused only on Amira’s face was annoying Perrie. He was nodding to everything that came out of her mouth. Fucking idiot.

Amira returned to the table after a couple of minutes, with a smile spread across her face. “They said yes and they even know which club we can go to! I’m so excited.” She shared the plan with them and they all cheered among them. Perrie stared at Amira and thought for a couple of seconds without hesitation. Perrie had decided that she is going to ruin Amira’s life the most. She can’t wait to ruin this bitch.
