Chapter 4: Magic Dance

As Aoi slowly regains consciousness, the first thing she notice was the ceiling. Her ceiling back at Moonflower didn't have any clouds, and they didn't move either. Aoi suddenly remember what happened, and as she jump out off the bed she was in, she looked out the balcony window. She couldn't believe it. She was back in the Goblin Kingdom.

"You're finally awake." A dreaded familiar voice made Aoi's blood run cold. She turn back to see the figure she hoped to never see again. Jareth casually stand at the door of the room she was in.

"Why did you brought me here again? Aoi question him.

"Well first, I missed you too, Aoi." Jareth gave an amused smirk that made Aoi cringe.

"And, secondly I heard about your predicament and decided to rescue you."

"Rescue me from what? Aoi scoff.

"From your force engagement." Aoi was baffle by his answer.

"How do you know about that?"

"Well, after those traitors visited you the last time I finally had the power to bring you back. However, before I was able to you never came back to you're house. I decided to investigate you're disappearance, and thanks to your old neighbor and some ayakashi chatter from the streets, I found out that your own grandfather use you as collateral for his debt." He gritted that last part through his teeth, and Aoi stared at his clench fists.

Aoi backed away from him a bit. Jareth was always something, but right now he was more frightening than he ever was four years ago.

Jareth saw the scared impression on Aoi. He took a deep breath to compose himself. It hasn't even been five minutes and he's already scaring the girl. He didn't want to mess up again now that she's here.

"Since you were with the Ogre God most of the time, I decided to rescue you when the opportunity arises. You're safe now, Aoi. " Jareth reassures her.

"Jareth, I was never in any danger." Aoi confesses.

Jareth gives her a confused look and Aoi continues on.

"He may have taken me from my world, but he has treated me a lot more better than you."

Jareth felt a tightness in his chest.

"And how exactly does he treat you better?"

"Well firstly, he didn't kidnap Takashi and made me go through a labyrinth to save him. He didn't send in the cleaners after me when I said you're labyrinth was a piece of cake. He didn't send in goblins to fire cannons at me and my friends. AND HE DIDN'T DRUGGED ME WITH A PEACH THAT MADE ME FORGET TAKASHI!!!!! I CAN'T EAT PEACHES ANYMORE THANKS TO YOU!!!!! Aoi let four years of trauma out, feeling a bit relief that she was able to express it to the man who caused it.

Jareth snapped back, feeling frustrated that the girl wasn't able to express gratitude for all that he has done for her.

"I SEE YOU ARE STILL CRUEL AS EVER!!!! I RESCUED YOU FROM A FORCE MARRIAGE AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!!! With each step Jareth took, Aoi backed away.

"EVERYTHING I DONE, I'VE DONE IT ALL FOR YOU!!!! SO WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE GRATEFUL!!!!

"Grateful." Aoi chuckled.

Jareth stopped and looked at Aoi's face. It was an expression between anger and sadness.

"GRATEFUL!!!!! Aoi yelled, making Jareth's turn to back up.
"WHY ON EARTH SHOULD I BE GRATEFUL FOR YOU!!!! YOU TRY TO MANIPULATE ME INTO FORGETTING TAKASHI!!!! THAT BABY HAD A FAMILY!!!! SOMETHING I NEVER HAD!!!! Aoi looked sad after she said that.
