I was holding a long black leash that was connected to the collar of a medium size brown dog that was a boxer. I towards my left to see Akira was holding a green leash that was connected to the collar of a medium-size black dog that had the features of a poodle dog but mixed with a lab dog.  Then there was Kaito who was on my right and was walking a small brown pug with a black leash. While Mizuko-sensei was walking behind us with no dog since the mission, which was dog walking, mentioned there only being three dogs.

'Why do we have to do a boring D-rank dog walking mission!" Kaito complained.

"Because you just became a genin a week ago. So you're only going to get a D-rank mission until the Hokage believes you have enough experience for harder missions," Mizuko-sensei replied.

"Come on, Kaito, it's not that bad. I'm actually having fun walking the dogs," I said.

"I agree with Kei," Akira said. "I happen to enjoy walking dogs as long as they stay under control."

"I guess I might be overacting. I was just hoping to be doing more interesting missions after almost a week of nothing but D-rank missions," Kaito said.

"Well, you will just have to wait," Mizuko-sensei said. "Anyway, let's start heading back to drop off the dogs to their owner. The dogs only go for a walk around the village for 45 minutes to sometimes an hour."

"Right," We all said in unison.

"Why does this guy even have three different dogs?" Akira asked.

"He probably loves dogs a lot, so he got more than just one dog," I replied.

"That makes sense to me," Kaito said.

"Yeah, that does, but still, I rather have one dog it easier to handle," Akira said.

Mizuko-sensei just chuckled at our behavior.

When I arrived at the client's house to drop off the three dogs, Mizuko-sensei knocked on the door.

"Coming!" A smooth-sounding male voice said.

After a couple of minutes of waiting, the door opened to reveal to show a tall man with brown hair tied into a ponytail; he was holding a crutch on his left side and a blue cast on his left leg.

"Hello, sir, we just finished walking your dogs," Mizuko-sensei said.

"Thanks. Do you mind bringing them inside for me?" He asked, moving out of the way so we could walk inside.

"Of course, come on, kids, let's get the dogs inside," Mizuko-sensei said, walking inside.

We nodded and walked inside of the house.

"You want us to take them to a certain place?" Kaito asked.

"Yeah, the kitchen, it is time for their lunch," He replied, pointing in the direction of the kitchen

"Got it," I said.

We then headed towards the direction he was pointing at. When we arrived in the kitchen, we saw three red bowls with food inside of them and a large silver bowl with water inside of it.

"I had fun walking with you, buddy," I said, taking the leash off the boxer dog I was walking.

"I also had a nice time," Akira said, unleashing the dog she was walking.

Kaito patted the dog he was walking behind the ear before he took the leash off.

"Once again, thanks for walking them while my left leg is injured," The client said.

"It was no problem that what we do as ninjas we help people," Akira said, smiling at him.

We then headed to the door to leave the house.

"What next?" Akira asked.

"Next, we give Lord Third our mission report; then, I think we will call it a day for now," Mizuko-sensei replied.

"Alright," We all said in unison.

Timeskip...

After giving the hokage our mission report, I was now heading home to rest up for the day.

"I'm home!" I announced, walking inside of the house.

"Hey, brat," Anko greeted, walking out of the kitchen.

"Hello, Anko, and stop calling brat," I said.

"Well, you are a kid, which makes you a brat, "Anko said.

"Whatever," I muttered. "Hey, can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Sure, what is it, brat?" Anko asked.

"Did you know my father before he left the village?" I asked.

'Well, umm-" Anko started but then trailed off. I narrowed my eyes, wondering why she was hesitating to answer me.

'First, the hokage wasn't telling me much except he was his student and now Anko hesitating.' I thought, wondering what the deal with my father was.

"Did you know him are not?"

"Yeah, he was my sensei back when I was a genin," Anko replied.

'That didn't tell me much. I know that he studied under the Third hokage and taught Anko, and I know his name from mom's note. Yet I don't know where he is are what kind of person he is.'

"I see," I said, hiding my disappointment and not learning more about my father.

"Anyway, how was your day?" Anko asked, changing the subject.

"It was fine. Our mission today was to walk dogs," I replied.

"Dog not too bad of a D-rank mission," Anko said.

"True," I replied.. "anyway, I'm going up to my room to read," I said, heading towards the stairs.

"Alright, I'll call you down for dinner," Anko said.

"Ok," I said before walking up the stairs.

'Maybe after missions are training, I head to the library and see if I can learn anything about my father. I always wanted to know who he was, and that note from my mom before she died told me he was from the Hidden Leaf makes me want to know about him even more.' I thought, walking to my bedroom to read one of my books.

Which was about summoning justu and my little bit of what was known about my clan crystal style since the Leaf didn't have much on it. I always want to summon after seeing my mom summon birds before. There are cool summonings, but I don't want to summon birds. I want something even more extraordinary than birds. I was researching crystal style since my mom is dead. I needed to learn how to use my crystal style somehow, but I might have better luck learning it if I could find someone from my clan.
