part 1 {the night we met}

I was awoken by my roommate yelling at one of her video games, I threw a pillow over my ears to try and not hear her. I look out my window, it was a cold and stormy night my room smelt like rain. Stormy nights are my favorite I could just fall asleep to the sound of rain hitting my apartment window.

After staring out of my window for awhile I realized that I won't be falling back to sleep and I decided to get up. I grab my phone and checked the time, 6:45 am not that bad. I made my bed and cleaned up my room a bit before leaving my room to go eat breakfast before I starved to death. I open the pantry and grabbed the box of cereal and a bowl. I grabbed some strawberries from the fridge and cut them. I grabbed a box of cereal and poured it into a bowl.

I grabbed my food and sat down at the table, I looked at my phone and check my notifications. After finishing my breakfast I cleaned my dishes and went upstairs to shower, On my way to the shower I popped into my roommate's room. She was dead asleep on her bed while watching a youtube video. I walk over to her remote to turn off her t.v, "hmm who's dream?" I asked myself. She fell asleep watching some Minecraft video from a creator named dream. I turned her t.v off and walked out to the bathroom. I turn the shower to cold and started undressing, I stepped in the shower and started washing my hair.

After I finished in the shower I did my skincare routine and got dressed. I walked out of the washroom and decided that I should do something productive for once so I started to clean the apartment. I started in my room and deep cleaned everything since I had nothing to do till later tonight, I have to go to a party that my roommate is dragging me to go to. It's a party for streamers and YouTubers, I feel like I don't belong there but it's whatever.

It's about 12:30 pm and I started to get hungry so I decided to cook some lunch for my roommate and me. I made pesto pasta and it was surprisingly good, I cleaned up the kitchen and headed back to deep cleaning the apartment. Many hours had passed and the apartment was finally cleaned, it was now 5:20 pm and I started to get ready for the party.

I grabbed my makeup and my curling iron and sat at my floor mirror and played my "getting ready" playlist. I started by doing my makeup, it was nothing crazy it was more neutral. I curled my hair and walked into my closet, I picked out a skin-tight emerald green dress. It was a beautiful dress but I never got to wear it. I put on the dressed and accessorized it with earrings, a necklace, bracelets, and a few rings. After convincing myself that I looked fine I put some high heels on and walked out of my room. My roommate was waiting for me outside of my room. "You ready?" she questioned. I nodded and followed her to the car.

After a 15-minute car ride, we had finally arrived, it was a beautiful house. I got out of the car and walked into the house, the house smelt like cologne and delicious food. I follow my roommate around for a while until I started to get thirsty and walked over to the drinks. I was waiting for my drink until a man walked up to me introducing himself.

"Hey, I don't I've seen you around here before. I'm Clay" he said while leaning over the bar.

"I'm not a streamer or a YouTuber I'm just here with my roommate" I replied

"Ohhh okay cool, and your name is?" he asked

"Oh sorry I'm y/n" I replied. Wait to go already embarrassing yourself in front of an attractive guy.

"Well it's nice to meet you y/n" he smiled back.

I grabbed my drink and Clay followed, we talk for basically the whole night. I'd grow to like Clay not just by his looks but by his personality. It was now 11 pm and I started to get tired and I was pretty drunk.

"Hey Clay, could you help me find my roommate grace?" I asked

"Um I'm not sure what she looks like but yea I can help you" He replied. I described what she looked like and then we left to go find her.

We found her drunk with another male streamer, "Well now how am I supposed to get home now" I said out loud to myself. Clay insisted that he take me back to my apartment and that Grace would be fine here and his friends would take care of her. I left Clay to take my keys and we walked to the parked car. I climb into the passenger seat and stared out my window.

"you okay?" he asked

"Yea I'm okay just tired" I responded

"you can sleep in the car if you want I'll drive slow if you want?" He asked. 

I nodded and laid my head on the headrest and closed my eyes. I fell asleep until the car stopped and he gently tapped my shoulder to wake me up. I was still drunk and everything was blurry and dizzy, I couldn't walk straight so Clay helped me walk to the apartment. I gave him my keys and he opened the door to my apartment, he laid me down on the couch and went into my room, and grabbed some PJs for me. I grabbed them and made my way to the washroom, I changed and walked into my room where he was waiting for me. I jump into bed and talked to Clay until my eyes felt too heavy to keep open and I fell asleep.
