The things I remember

Chapter one

It was dark, you didn't hear a sound. I just remember I was walking with my dog and this man came out of nowhere and told me that he needed help. Me not being dumb and knowing about all the crimes that were happening I just ignored it. Everyone knows it's not secure to walk alone at night, specially if you're a girl.

I just carried on while moving faster to my house, but I kept feeling like someone was following me, so as I always did when I was scared while walking alone, I grabbed my phone and called a friend, she didn't pick up I was freaking out. My house was 3 blocks away but it seemed so far away. I called some of my friends, no one would pick up. It looked like the world was against me at this point.

Finally I decided to call my mom, she picked up and I was so relieved:

- Mom, mom, I think someone is following me!

- What?

- A man came ask me for help, and I was scared so I kept going but now I feel like someone is following me.

- Anne, no one is following, you must be just scared. Stop being paranoid and come home.

- Mom, please I'm so scared. I think something bad is going to happen.

- Stop playing, it's not funny. Just come home.

- Mom please, can you came out and get me, please please...

- You're impossible, its just your imagination. I have to go, your sister wants to show me her new song.

- Mom are you serious? I'm here scared for my life, thinking I'm going to die and you can't even help me because she wants to show you some song.

- I'm telling you, you're paranoid, and your sister is really talented she is going to be a famous singer one day. Now just hurry up and came home. Bye!

-MOM, MOM, PLEASE, I'M SCARED.

Well she hanged up, I'm now only one block away but I still feel like something bad is going to happen, I don't know it's just a feeling. I wasn't even supposed to walk the dog, it was my sister, I asked my mom if I could go in the afternoon instead because I don't like to walk in the dark.

I continued going home, and when I was one house away of mine, the same man came:

-Hey little girl, can you help me?

- I'm sorry I really need to get home.

- Please I really need somebody's help, and you're the only one outside.

He said that with a creepy smile, I feared for my life, I didn't know what to do, so I started running.

-Hey, don't run, I just need help.

-YOU NEED HELP WITH WHAT?

-My car isn't working, I just need someone to help me push it.

- I'm sorry, I can't help you.

I ran for my life and I arrived home. My mom came to me:

-Finally, what were you doing outside?

- Mom are you kidding me, I asked for your help. I could have been kidnapped or killed, could you at least worry a bit about me.

-Don't you see that your being paranoid, nothing happened. You're here safe... Now that you're more calm, come hear your sister's new song.

I just couldn't stand it anymore, I ran upstairs to my room and didn't come down until my mom went to sleep.

When I came down, there it was my sister:

-Hi Anne.

-Hi Emily.

-What happened, I kinda heard what you and mom were talking on the phone, but I didn't understand at all.

- You know how it is, mom never listens to me, I was outside walking the dog and this man came and ask me to help him with something, but I didn't answer 'cause I was scared but then while I was walking home I felt that someone was following me and I called mom, because I was scared and she told me I was being paranoid. And then when I was a house away the man came to me and asked me for help again, I said "sorry I have to go home", and he still kept asking for help so I ran and he said he needed help because of his car, but he kept saying "hey little girl" it was really creepy and I was scared.

- Wow, if it was me I would have done the same, but you really need to be careful, because you know how it is this days. Everyday more crimes and I don't want nothing to happen to you so be careful. If you need you can call me or just came talk to me.

- Thank you and I'll be careful.

In the next chapter:

What's going to happen next? Is Anne going to walk again at night? Is Anne's mom going to understand her? Is the creepy man still looking for Anne?
