Cinder's P.O.V.
I suddenly felt a weird sense of attraction towards that girl, she was so beautiful, her lime-colored eyes, her green hair. She was so nice... I think I loved her, wait.... did I love her? I'm so confused. When I got home from the funeral, I plopped down on my bed in that empty house, and tried to clear my mind.
The two weeks had flown by in almost no time, or at least so it felt. Next thing I knew, it was a day or two from the hunt. We were ready. The hunter fell ill, but fortunately, he gave us a map and a description of the human.
I met up with Nukey before we were ready to leave, it was just us going hunting. She told me she had asked her friends, Skelly and Spinner to come with us. They'd be a great help if we ever needed it. When we decided on the route and schedule, we left. We travelled trough the forest as stealthily and quickly as any mob who valued their life would.
After two days and a night of travelling (we hadn't rested long), we arrived at the human stronghold. It was much larger in height and capacity than I had expected. We went over the 55 block wall one-by-one on Spinner's back. We scanned the houses for the human that killed my father. That fool, little did he know he would die tonight.
After what seemed like ages of searching, we found his house.
"Yes, this is it."
"Finally, now can we please kill this guy already?" Spinner kind of shouted.
"QUIET, YOU IDIOT! YOU MIGHT WAKE HIM UP!!" Skelly and Nukey yelled at him.
"Yeah, I might wake him up," Spinner replied, gesturing to the frightened man on his bed.
He tried to open his chest and equip his tools, but before he could, Skelly destroyed it. We forced him out of his house, he ran and we chased him out of the stronghold, if we tried to kill him there, he would call backup.
Soon we backed him into a not so deep cave. Now he had nowhere to run.
"NO, PLEASE!" he pleaded. "PLEASE, DON'T KILL ME! I WANT TO LIIVE!"
"You should've thought about that when you killed his father," Nukey interrupted, pointing to me.
She pulled out her dagger, Skelly reached for an arrow, and Spinner readied his webs(P.S: I f I said fangs, it'd be gross, so yeah). He kept pleading and ranting on about how he wants to live like the coward he was. As they all got ready to attack, I stopped them."WAIT! Wait, he isn't worth it."
"What, are you sure? Don't you want to avenge your father?" Nukey asked.
"Yeah, but, he's a coward. He doesn't deserve to die like this. It just wouldn't satisfy me. Let's go."
"Are you sure?" she asked
"I'm sure."
As we walked back to the forest, a cold, revengeful voice stopped in our tracks, "You should've killed me when you had the chance." We turned to see the man with a bow and arrow pointed at us. Then I remembered something.
*Flashback*
"If he's got a bow and arrows, you better hope you can dodge 'em. He' s their best marksman ."
"WAKE UP! WAKE UP, CINDER! " I came back to see an arrow whizzing through the air towards me. I was sure I could dodge it, but I was late. It caught me in my arm. I screamed as the pain surged up my arm. I collapsed, crippled by the pain. Everything started to go black and blurry. I saw one thing before I passed out, Nukey threw her dagger into his chest, he fell.
Then everything went black.
