At Guangxi Palace

"What happened!"

"Your highness.... you're finally awake"Hun Yen said with a sigh of relief.

What happened to me... I'm supposed to be dead by now...

"Hun Yen, tell me...what happened?"

"Your highness, you weren't poisoned but went unconscious... because you were drunk.."

Ohh! I almost forgot I had a low alcohol tolerance...

"But your highness, it's really weird that you got drunk, you had always had a high alcohol tolerance...."

"But two cups of wine made you go drunk and fall unconscious...what you said about the Young Master of Wanhu City, maybe true...."Hun Yen glared at me with pity.

'Han Ghui'

Oh shit! I forgot about him. He didn't plan on killing me yesterday...

"Where's Han Ghui?"
"Your highness, he's in the Imperial prison, it's not going to be long that he will be sentenced to death...."

"What! No...no...no..."

I can't let him die now . That's not what the plot says.

At the Imperial prison

"Young Master , what do we do now.."

Han Ghui moved in circles around the small prison cell. For a Prince like him to be locked up in there was a big disgrace.

"Young Master, our men are out there waiting for your orders...maybe we should take action now..."Bai ji said looking expectantly at his Master.

"No! We haven't found the Lions Bone yet, let's not rush things" Han Ghui said.

He had made a terrible mistake. His plan to kill her with poison didn't work out, so he was determined to find another way. But that would only happen if  he could get out of this mess.

At Ryan Palace

"Mother!...mother!.." I cried running to my mom's bed chamber.

But I was stopped by two guards with their swords blocking my path.

"Mom!...mom!..mom!... please" I cried out with all my strength.
"Your highness, the queen is resting and doesn't need disturbance..." said one of the guards. I didn't give up. I cried out continuosly till....

"Let her in..."

"Yes, your Majesty..."

I hurriedly entered and knelt down before my mother. She wasn't actually my real mom but since I had taken Tan Qianqian's identity, I just had to play along.

"Mom... please don't kill Han Ghui!!"

"What!!"my mom yelled out.
"He tried poisoning you...and.."

" But I'm alright now..."

I crawled up to my mother's side, holding her legs as I pulled on a childish face...

"What if he's trying to kill you slowly. Yuanyan told me you going unconscious was as a result of you getting drunk.....you've never been like that before even if it's 50cups of wine, you won't get drunk so easily.."

It slipped my mind that in writing out Qianqian's character, I put a lot of exaggerations. But I'm not Tan Qianqian, my name is Cheryl Woods, the writer of the story I'm trapped in.

"Mom! Please spare him for my sake..."
"And why would I do that? Why are you protecting him" mom said.

I had to be convincing enough. Han Ghui was my worst nightmare, but I had to save him, my story had to flow in the right direction, so I could go back home.
