"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Alex! Happy birthday to you!" My eyes opened to the sound of a birthday song. Mom was standing in front of me holding a birthday cake. Well, my birthday cake. My dad was in the doorway while my sister and grandma sat on my bed. "Happy 15th birthday Alex!!"
I smiled.
"Thanks Soph."
Grandma put her hand on my hand and held it tight. She looked me in the eyes and formed a big smile on her face.
"Happy birthday my sweet boy." "I can't believe your getting older. Ah i wish you would stop growing."
I chuckled. "Sorry."
She shook her head. "Bud i hope you have a wonderful birthday today and-"
Mom cut her off.
"Everyone smile, Brad smile!"
"I am Lucy."
"Okay 1..2..3. say cheese!"
*snap*
~Sometimes in life you'll find yourself in shitty situations and will try to run away. But in the end it never works... you will have to go through that rock in the road, not over it. Not skipping it and pretending that your okay. But to push through and to fight. And that not everyone's out to get you, but yet you believe your emotional side and let it control you. Take a deep breathe and know you're worth living. There ARE good people in this world. You just gotta wait, because one day they will come around~
