Prologue

Elix: /ˈe.liks/, [ˈɛː.liks]
Plural form: Elixes
Definition: Children of the scales. Often correlating with the Dragons.

Centuries after humanity had gone extinct, a new human race called, Elix have emerged. These Elixes bear physical attributes similar to the dragons who had raised them after the ForeMother copulated with a dragon shifter. Since then, the Elixes now bear scales on their skin, dragon-like eyes, horns, and pointy ears. The scales and eye colors depend on the dragon's colors that had raised them and the biomes they thrive in. Elixes are also able to manipulate certain abilities of the biome they live in. An Elix living in the tundra is able to manipulate water, ice, snow, and withstand the cold temperatures. Whereas an Elix living in the grassland cannot thrive in that biome nor manipulate that ability.

Elixes can be found living in kingdoms that are located in every biome with their dragons. Elixes can also become nomads like the stray dragons who hadn't settled down and raised Elixes. Though the farther they are away from their home, the nomad Elixes start to lose touch of their abilities.

There are a total of five biomes that impact both dragons and Elixes.

Aquatic: Elixes from the aquatic biomes have scales that allow them to swim fast, and withstand the temperatures and the pressure of the water underneath. Their eyes are a deep sea blue color to help them see whether in light or in the dark where the sunlight cannot reach. Aquatic Elixes are the only race without horns on them. The aquatic biome is sisters with the tundra biome and are also able to manipulate water, ice, and snow. The aquatic biome's dragons reside under water and are known for their beautiful sea blue colored scales. Aquatic Elixes are also known to be cool headed, relaxed, and overall the best people to be around with.

Grassland: Elixes from the grassland biome do not have much to themselves in terms of their abilities and significance in their appearance. Although the grassland Elixes are known for their long horns once they reach the pubescent age. The dragons in the grassland biome are used as tools to help cultivate crops and means of transportation. These Elixes are able to manipulate their ability in agriculture by communicating to their cattle and using their hands and feet to create fertile soil for farming. Grassland Elixes are generally stern people and are very loud mouthed. They also take pride in their work because they run the food chain.

Forest: Peaceful and full of life (literally), this biome is home to many animals. In terms of diversity, this biome takes the cake. Elixes of this biome are diverse themselves ranging from their skin color to Elix attributes. Horns and pointy ears are all different and their eye color and colored scales are also different! Though the most common colors are green and brown. Forest Elixes live in many sister woodland biomes such as jungles and rainforests, meaning their dragons are also diverse! Forest Elixes are free spirited people who live their lives freely and are welcoming people. They can also be very wise. Need some enlightenment in your life? Visit one of their biomes! Elixes of this biome are able to manipulate nature, life, and death by growing trees, killing off living plants, and more. Forest Elixes also take pride in growing the sweetest and freshest fruits from the trees! They are also very knowledgeable in animals that live with them.

Desert: Elixes of this biome are the most passionate lovers known to Elix. Heart of fire, these Elixes are very outspoken, extroverted, and loving. Oh, and very vengeful. Overall the best friend or lover to have if you wish to be cared for. Desert Elixes have bronzed, tanned skin from living under the sun all day and living in a humid climate. Their scales and eye color can vary from orange, yellow or red. Their scales allow them to thrive in these extreme temperatures. Desert dragons come in orange, red, and yellow colors like their children. Dragons and Elixes of this biome are the only ones to manipulate heat and fire. And although agriculture is impossible, they take pride in growing the finest dates and their fine architecture and jewelry!

Tundra: Elixes from the tundra biome are the only people who have white and ash grey colored scales, and their eye color being the palest of the blue. Skin and hair white as snow, these Elixes do not get much sunlight due to the constant snow falling and cloudy skies. Because of this, these Elixes have developed eyes that allow them to see in the dark and scales to withstand the cold temperatures. Unfortunately, their eyes are sensitive to light depending on the brightness and it leaves them at risk of becoming blind if exposed to bright light too long. Their kingdom resides in the mountains with high altitudes, making visitors rare and unable to farm their own crops. Thus making them known as the "Barren Kingdom." Elixes in this biome are very introverted people who often times keep to themselves but are also arrogant and cold-hearted (hah, pun) at times. They make great enemies with the desert Elixes! Dragons of this biome can be either white or ash grey colored to blend in with the environment. Elixes of the tundra biome are able to manipulate ice, water, and snow like their sister biome.
