Valentine's day. One of the worst, or best, holidays out there. In my case, it was probably the best. I woke up with chocolates and white roses on my nightstand but no sign of a note anywhere, but i automatically knew they were from Mitch. Who else would give me these on Valentine's day?
When i got out of bed, there was a trail of red rose petals leading outside my bedroom which i suppose i should follow. I open my door and see that there was a note on it taped on. I take it off and read the note.

What confused me is why they decided to add math into a valentine's day thing. I mentally rolled my eyes but i was genuinely happy that they didn't go all cheesy and use a "roses are red" poem.
I followed the rest of the petals downstairs to where they led to the kitchen. On the kitchen counter was a plate with heart-shaped red velvet pancakes, two strips of turkey bacon and scrambled eggs. Aside of it was another note.

This time, I wasn't really sure if it was Mitch who had given these to me, because Brayden and him don't really talk anymore, just the occasional "hi" every now and then. Who were these from?

After i finished my breakfast, I went up to my room to get changed. I stripped out of my pajamas as put on black, high-waisted skinny jeans with a red crop top. I wore a tan cardigan over it with tan flats with bows on them. I put in my silver bow earrings that my grandmother had given me.
For my makeup, I went with a simple cat-eye with a nude pink lipstick. I did my hair, grabbed my keys, put on my jacket, and heading out the door. I got into my car and made my way to Brayden's house.

People fall in love in mysterious ways, the voice of Ed Sheeran blared through the speakers. His lyrics always made me wonder why i was still with Mitch, after all the times he has cheated. Was i really in love with him, or did i love the idea of him?

"Violet!" I heard Brayden's mom say as I entered the house.
"Mama Rusher!" I exclaimed as I gave her a hug.
"Hi sweetheart, you look gorgeous." She said and she looked at me up and down.
"Thank you! Is Brayden here?" I said with a smile.
"Yes, he's upstairs in his room with Coby and Ryan."
I made my way up the stairs and overheard them talking. They were talking about something that i could barely make out, but I knew that it was for a video since Brayden had said 'we were'. I smirk before slowly opening the door and peeking my head inside. They were too busy talking and laughing to acknowledge the fact that i had walked in.
I go up behind them and shout, "happy valentine's day!" which had caused them to scream and turn around. I laughed and sat down on Brayden's bed.
"Jesus, Violet! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Coby shouted.
"i'm sorry," i say, still laughing, and gave him a hug. He hugged me back as I looked at the other two.
Brayden pressed something on his computer and said, "We can finish this video later."
i pulled away from Coby and began laughing again. "Sorry I interrupted your video."
"It's okay." Ryan said leaning back in his chair, "so what brings you here?"
