Me, Mr. and Mrs. Rosewood were sitting on the couch facing one another and a detective named Mark was sitting alone in the chair
Mark wore a checkered button up T- shirt with a black leather jacket along with navy blue pants
he is wearing something that is too informal for something as important as a missing person case
"Has Amy been acting strange before the disappearance?"
Mrs. Rosewood looked at her husband and said "No"
there was something wrong with those words, it felt forced
I asked Mark "is there any clue that could help us find her?"
Mark looked at a what seems to be his partner in the crime case
the guy that appeared looked very neat and presentable looking unlike his partner right here...
"good day to you miss?"
"Alice, Alice Arleign"
He looks at me suprised "I think I've heard that name before, is your mother Carlila Arleign?"
"Yes"
He smiled and said "well wadya know Lila has a daughter, that troublemaker already grown now haha"
A sudden awkward silence filled the room, it was out of topic from the situation we are facing right now so it is quite understandable to have this awkward silence.
He lets out a chuckle "well let's continue the investigation shall we?"
Mark pulled something out of his pocket and it looked like one of Amy's charms in her bracelets that I gifted her 3 years ago and it is inside a plastic bag
The charm is a small teddy bear but it's tainted with blood, a part of me yelled she might be dead but I'm hoping she's not
Mrs. Rosewood looked like she was about to cry but her husband just had a poker face
(Who on earth has a poker face as a facial exprsession to a daughter that could almost be possibly be dead ?!) I thought to myself
This is ridiculous never in my years of experience of being Amy's friend had she disappeared without notice
She did disappear once but she left a note for me...
And then I stopped thinking, then looked at the neat looking partner in crime guy
"May I ask your name sir?"
He looked at me and said
"Joey"
I sighed and said "Mr. Joey did my friend Amy left anything other than her charms from her charm bracelet?"
"well there is this" he then showed me a small ink gold stain on red paper but is was ripped
At the paper it said "ie"
That's all it said, I felt dizzy all of a sudden. Joey helped me sit down on a couch
"what did it say?"
I told him in it was only the words "ie" and there are many words that can end in "ie" and one of those words that came to my mind was die, I also showed him a similar letter look just liked the ripped piece of paper did
"they look similar" Mark replied
With Marks comments Mrs. Rosewood then looked at the red letter and read it, she looked at me with sad eyes but also filled with anger
"she wasn't supposed to be the one missing.....it was supposed to be you"
After she said that the guilt hit me more than it should've, I blamed myself
I know that I should be responsible, but what I am feeling right now is that I should blame somebody for this but I don't know who
Then I looked at the red letter
I hope she's alive
