Author's POV

Light had requested Ryuk stayed home today before school. Ryuk shrugged and nodded, Thinking nothing of it. But when Light returned, he knew something was up. And by the looks of it, it wasn't good. "Light? What's a matter?" He asked softly. "..." Light responded with nothing but actions, leaning on the wall. Ryuk sighed. "Come here." He ordered. The ginger slowly stumbled over to the taller male, looking up at him. "What do you need?" Ryuk asked, concerned about the smaller ginger. Light's stubbornness went away and he closed his eyes and leaned against the demon infront of him. "..I-I.. I need a hug..." He mumbled, leaving a speechless Ryuk. Ryuk had no choice but to hug the boy. "S-shh... It's okay..." He said softly while rubbing Light's back. Light slowly drifted to sleep, Ryuk picked up the boy and sat down on Light's bed, cradling him in his arms. Eventually setting him on the bed to rest, and watching him sleep from a distance.
