It was raining heavily and with me were my brown suitcase and a black handbag. I said to myself "what am I doing in Paris?" along with the weather I wanted to kill myself for being here even for a second. I had heard that Paris was meant to be beautiful but the very moment my airline had arrived in Paris, it started to rain. I came here with no plans but to seem like one of those cool classy ladies that wore french inspired clothes and traveled.
"Have we met before?" you asked after ages and I couldn't stop myself from looking at those same beautiful deep hazel eyes.
It feels like centuries ago we've met in Paris, falling in love at the very first glace. Even if it was for a mere second we stared at each other and I could see the universe in your eyes.
How special must've been to see that the universe had conspired us to have met in such a place widely known as the "city of love." Those soft and buttery croissants we devoured as we talked about our childhood memories, your smirks, and those deep-set eyes. I told myself "how can I forget you when I've waited for such a moment." Your voice gave me déjà vu. You had never left my heart, Hiraeth.
