Love Island#5 : Love(sick) Island (PhunNoh)

Memories

Phun sat on the beach alone looking up at the stars on the night sky above him. A gentle breeze washed over his face and it felt good, even calms him down a little. 

A few days ago Phun and Noh had visited Love Island and ever since, Phun had been nervous with it. Phun managed to keep cool and stay calm most of the time but when Noh is not around, he can feel his hands shaking and heart beating fast from the thought of it.

"Phun, I'm back.", he heard Noh from the back and immediately forced a smile for him.

"Great to have you back. Missed you already.", Phun said pulling Noh to sit beside him.

"What's wrong with you? You've been acting ... a little weird ever since we came to this island.", Noh asked.

"Have you done anything behind my back?", Noh starred at Phun.

"Nothing! Why would I do that? No chance. Just missing you, that's all.", Phun said.

"Really? You better not. Anyway, here ... I bought us some food and drinks."

"Thank you ...my dear.", Phun said.

Noh shook his head, "Still weird."

"Speaking of missing someone .. I really missed Pang. How is she doing now?", Noh asked.

"Pang? She's doing fine, you know her ... someone like Pang survives wherever she is."

"I still can't believe that  she decided to study abroad in London after high school.", Noh said.

"Me too! Remember when she only speaks English to us when she was preparing herself for the entry exam? Man, those days was hard for me to talk to her.", Phun laughed.

"She did the right thing and we even learned from that too isn't it? I guess it's a win-win situation. Oh, by the way ... I last saw her updates on IG ... the one she took a photo with a guy. Is that her boyfriend?"

"I've asked the same but she never really did answer me. A close friend she said but when I asked for further details, she never replied."

"Phun, let her have her own life as long as she's happy with it. She's all grown up now, no longer that little girl where you're forced to have me as your pretend boyfriend."

"But that turns out great, I have you as my real boyfriend in the end."

"It's just crazy then ... never thought that will actually happened in my life. Honestly, aren't you scared when you asked me to be your boyfriend that time when I rushed into the room? Even though we're in the same grade but we never really know each other or even talked to each other before that. You really have the guts to do that."

"You think that happened just because a random guy walks in the room and I'll just ask him to be my pretend boyfriend for Pang? I chose you. I chose you Noh.", Phun explained.

"You chose me? How is that?"

"I've been noticing you for a while before that day. Even from the night at the party or at the school hall or the canteen. I noticed that you like helping people and easy to talk to. But most importantly, I've never seen you get too close to any girls at the party or after school. So I assumed you must be single and it would be easier if you're the one to be my pretend boyfriend."

"That's it?"

"Of course ... that cute awkward face and braces too ... just special."

"You're weird again.", Noh blushed a little.

Finishing his drink, Noh stands up, "Shall we go for a walk?"

Phun stretched out his hand for Noh to pull him up.
