Our 9th home, I believe. Me, Klaus, and Sunny only have each other. All of the other guardians died, 'how' you may ask, well I guess it ranges from getting eaten alive by squid, to being injected with snake venom.
Long story short about our past, me and my siblings parents unfortunately died in a fire and left their fortune to us that I can only assess once I turn 18 and I'm 16, so we only have to keep doing this for 2 more years. Count Olaf was our first guardian and tried to force me to marry him so that he can get the money, luckily I was able to get out of that and we went to our next home. Ever since then everyone who took care of us in some way got murdered by Count Olaf, and now we are leaving for Forks. After all this time me and Klaus learned to not feel to upset once someone dies, Sunny is just as strong as the rest of us.
Mr. Poe was talking the whole way there "So are you excited?" Or "I bet this time it will all be okay." Coughing through out almost every word. All of us answer simply with a yes or no.
The house in front of us is a pretty good sized house, with all the most basic decorations you can think of. A man in his late 30's meets us at the door.
"Hello everybody! You all must be Violet, Klaus, and Sunny! It is very nice to meet you I am Mr. Stewart, or you can call me dad if you want!" Just from the looks of him and how we talked, he seems like the kind of person to ramble and not ever let you get a word in even when you try to say one word. Also from the tone of his voice I bet he is very cocky and adopted us just so he could get on the front cover.
"Hello Mr. Stewart, it is nice to meet you. Thank you for letting us in your home." I softly reply.
"Well, guess you don't need me anymore so I'm going to leave. Hope this works out this time" Mr. Poe says muffled because of the handkerchief covering his mouth. We turn back to Mr. Stewart as he closes the door behind us.
"What does he mean 'hope this works out'?" Klaus was about to answer with anything but the truth but Mr. Stewart just continued "I don't know maybe you can tell me tomorrow, until then you should go to bed there are 2 bedrooms upstairs the one on the left is Violet's and Sunny's room, and the one on the right is Klaus' room."
This man seems normal but something in my gut is telling me that is person is very weird. I plan to discuss this tomorrow, but for now I need to get Sunny and myself some sleep.
