The light beamed from my window, hitting my face, and causing me to moan in pure tiredness. I slowly got up from my bed and jumped in the shower to wipe the sleep from my face. Gladly it was the weekend though I have to meet Callie at the smoothie shop so we could discuss a project that we were assigned to do together for our graphic design class. I got out of the shower and got dress into my gray shorts and blue Nirvana shirt, with my red vans. I grabbed my keys and left the house. After a small while I finally got to the smoothie job and I saw Callie through the window reading her book. I got out of the car and entered the shop. I slowly walked and sat down right where she was sitting. She didn't know I was there until I cleared my throat and she quickly looked up. Her cheeks started to turn to a bright red color.
I smiled and quickly grabbed the book trying to read the cover "The life not worth living." I frowned and gave it back to her. She looked down, grabbed the book, and put it back in her bag. Awkward silence now filled the empty space between us like it was a person. I thought to myself for a while until I actually remembered why I was here in the first place. I brought up the project in graphic design and I asked her what she wanted to do. She wanted to do something colorful and I wanted to do something cool, so we thought for a while and decided to put our ideas together. We got the colors down, but what it would actually be was the hard part. We spent a few hours in the smoothie shop, but still couldn't figure anything out. So we exchanged numbers and I left the shop. Something about her made me feel something, but I couldn't tell what.
The Pac-man sound came on, so I quickly grabbed my phone from my pocket and checked my messages. It was from my friend letting me know it was time to game, I practically jumped into my car and drove to my house, letting him know I was on my way. My car came to an abrupt stop and I rushed inside myy house, quickly powering up my system, and putting on mic. I joined the party and quickly started yelling commands. I always yell commands since I'm the leader in the group and second of all my friends and I are training for a gaming competition that is coming in a few months and we want to be prepared. I ducked and hid behind buildings as I made sure the coast was clear for my friends to go and attack the enimies terrritory, so we could try to capture the enimies flag.
Everyone hid and shot, clearing out the area the best they could, while everyone slowly entered the enimies territory. We sent out our friend Nicky to try and take the flag as we covered him. He almost reached the flag until he was shot by a hidden sniper. He yelled in pure anger as he now became a spectator since one you died you coud not play the game until the next round. I told them I would go look for the hidden sniper, so all they had to do was just hide until I took him out. I went up to a building and found him hiding. Before he could do anything I shot him, and yelled for my friends to now take the flag. After they captured the flag we won the game, and all yelled in victory.
We decided to play another around, but with different competators since it would be more difficult that way. We won that game too, and decided to call a quits to get ourselves ready for another round in a while, though this one will be against each other. We decided to pvp it and no scope it to make it even more challenging. My phone buzzed and it was Callie, she had told me she thought that for a project we could make a person standing on something maybe. I texted her back saying that that might be a good idea, though I really didn't know since I was in my gaming zone. She just said okay and didn't answer back. We all went back to gaming, and I lost a few rounds and won a few rounds.
After a while I didn't feel like playing anymore so I told my friends I had to go and that i'd play later. I left my house and decided to walk around the shopping center thinking of strategies and ideas on how my team could win the competition. I walked by the bookstore and I saw Callie sitting at a table reading a book, though I couldn't make out the name. She looked so into the book with the expressions she made as her eyes followed the words. A smile was now turned into a frown, as the grip tightens on the book. I smiled as I slowly walked away from the store, leaving Callie now stuck in my mind. I didn't understand what I felt, but I started feeling something inside myself. Nothing ould happen, and I will make sure of it.
I looked around until my eyes landed on the video game store and I walked in. The bell chimed as the door opened and the workers greeted me from behind the counter. New games came out and that was my main priorities to play and conquer them when I get home. I save up my money to only buy new games. I moved through every asile grabbing new games that I was looking for. The door chimed and my smiled turned into a frown. The person that I hated with all my soul was now in the game store. This person use to be on my team with my friends and I until he decided to betray usand tell other people are secrets and strategies. I quickly moved through the asiles, so I wouldn't be seen. I wasn't scared with him seeing me, it was just because I didn't feel like dealing with anyone.
