"Time's up!" The professor yelled. He walked around and collected the exam package from each desk before you turned around to face your friend.

"Wanna come over? Maybe watch some movies?" (Y/F/N) asked.

"Thanks, but I think I'm going to see Liam today. He should be finished at the studio by now. I want to surprise him!"

(Y/F/N) laughed. "Alright, see you!" She waved as she left the classroom. You grabbed your bag off your chair and headed out the door. Liam's house was only a couple minutes away.

You reached Liam's house and noticed a red sports car in his driveways.

"Maybe Louis got a new car for his birthday," you thought and shrugged. You twisted the doorknob and opened the door quietly. You tippy toed down the hallway towards the family room where you heard faint talking. The talking stopped as you turned the corner. Liam, your boyfriend, was sitting on the couch. Straddling him was a blonde girl, no older than 20. She was sitting on his lap with her hands tangled in his hair, his hands on her back. You watched as they kissed for what seemed like hours. When the blonde girl pulled back from Liam, she looked up and noticed you.

"Oh I'm sorry. I'm Angela. I didn't know Liam was expecting company." The blonde girl, Angela, said. Her voice was high pitched, almost like a mouse. Liam's head whipped around. His eyes widened and mouth dropped.

"(Y/N)... I...." He stuttered as he scrambled to remove himself from under Angela. "This isn't what you think," he said, standing in front of you now. Your focus on was on the ground. You gave a hard chuckle, which came out as a snort. You lifted your eyes to meet his. The moment your eyes locked, you slapped him as hard as you could across the face. Liam's head went down as you heard Angela gasp. You waited until Liam lifted his head up, his hand pressed to where you hit him. You tore off the necklace he'd given you and threw it at his feet. Without a word, you walked out of his house and straight home.

------5 days later---------

You haven't left your house since the incident at Liam's. The commotion had calmed down. Your break up with Liam had slowly began to fade off twitter. Occasionally, the boys would stop by, apologizing for Liam since you wouldn't answer his call.

The doorbell rang while you were watching an old episode of Jersey Shore. You sighed and got up, expecting it to be one of the boys. You opened to door to come face-to-face with Liam, not the boy you were expecting. You immediately shut the door, but Liam's hand stopped it from closing. He pushed his way inside and closed the door behind him.

"Get out," you said. Your back was facing him.

"Let me explain," Liam said softly. You heard the floor creek and felt Liam's hands being placed gently on your shoulders.

You shrugged them off and walked to sit on the couch. "I said, get out."

Liam followed you and sat on the coffee table in front of you. "(Y/N), just listen...."

"NO! DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO LIAM! YOU CHEATED ON ME. I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME! WHAT? YOU THOUGHT THE BEST WAY TO EXPRESS YOUR LOVE FOR ME WAS BY KISSING SOME OTHER GIRL? WELL CONGRATU-FUCKING-LATIONS LIAM, YOU SURE SHOWED ME HOW MUCH YOU LOVED ME," you screamed at him.

Liam sat across from you, silently taking in every word you threw at him.

"(Y/N), can I just...."

"NO YOU CAN'T LIAM, YOU CANT DO ANYTHING. YOU RUINED YOUR CHANCE BY KISSING THAT DUMB BLONDE, THAT DUMB, BLONDE, SLUTTY-" you began but Liam cut you off.

"WILL YOU JUST FUCKING LISTEN TO ME INSTEAD OF CUTTING ME OFF EVERY FUCKING SECOND?" Liam screamed back.

You winced and shrugged as far back into the couch as you could go. You weren't used to Liam screaming at you, let alone swearing at you. You pulled the blanket up around your neck and sat quietly, staring at Liam. Liam sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I didn't mean to scare you," he murmured.

"You didn't," your defence coming out as a whisper. Liam looked up and raised an eyebrow at you, obviously not believing your statement.

"Let me explain," Liam said. Although it wasn't a question, you nodded in response.

"She's an old friend," Liam started.

"Angela." You cut in.

"Angela is an old friend," he restarted. "She's nothing more than a friend to me. She came over to visit me and we started talking about relationships. She was telling me about her breakup with her ex and to make her feel better, I told her that any guy who rejected her was a complete idiot. I guess she thought I was coming on to her, so she kissed me. Next thing I knew, she was sitting on top of me. I know I should've done more to stop it, and I'm sorry I didn't. I'm so so so sorry. I can't believe I hurt you the way I did. These past 5 days have been hell. I need you (Y/N), you're mine and only mine. I promise to never hurt you like that again, please."

"I don't know...." You whispered, looking down at the blanket. Liam moved so he was on his knees in front of you. His hands placed on your hips. Liam waited for you to look up before he started talking. You noticed that Liam had tears rolling down his cheeks.

"It meant nothing to me. She means nothing to me. You are my world, (Y/N). I need you like I need air. You're the one I want to wake up too, the one I want to hold. You're the only one I want to be with. You're constantly in my mind. Please, I love you so much. Don't leave me," Liam whispered the last sentence as his head fell. He was crying even harder now, trying to hide it as best he could.

"Liam..." You whispered. His head shot up at the sound of his name. You pushed the blanket down and reached your hand out to wipe away his tears.

"I'm sorry I broke the necklace you gave me," you said. Liam stared at you before laughing.

"It was time for a new one anyways, don't you think?"

You smiled and nodded, grabbing him by the biceps and pulling him up onto the couch with you. He sat beside you and lifted you up so you were sitting in his lap. He tangled his fingers with yours and kissed your forehead.

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

"I love you too," you replied. Liam tightened his grip around you and pulled you closer.

"I'm sorry I scared you earlier," he whispered against your forehead.

"You didn't scare me," you tried defending yourself again. Liam smirked.

"Okay, maybe a little," you admitted.

"Well, I'm still sorry. I didn't mean too, I don't want to be the one you're afraid of." Liam said.

You stroked Liam's cheek with your hand. "There isn't a single thing I would change about you."

Liam smiled. "Go to sleep love, you're tired. I'll be here when you wake up."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Liam leaned down and placed a soft kiss on your lips before wrapping the blanket around you. You smiled and closed your eyes, letting your head fall on his chest.

"I love you," was the last thing you heard him say before you drifted off to sleep.
