The living mummy

It was November 11 on a Wednesday and I was at school with Ally. That day our teacher said we were going to talk about something exciting. They said that two people from our class would go to New York to investigate a famous museum.

Of course Ally and I were very tagged because we wanted to go to a famous museum. But the teacher said we had to call our parents and ask if we could go there ourselves. Ally and I got while everyone else's parents said no. Then our teacher said that Ally and I were chosen! We were sooo happy and then we started dancing around the table.

The teachers said that we must be ready this night because tomorrow at 06.00 in the morning the plane would leave for New York and then we would avoid school !! They said we would not pay for the plane ticket because they had already done so. Our teachers also said that it would take 8 hours and 30 minutes. Then I thought it would be quite boring so we thought we would buy sweets at the airport..We had already planned everything! After school we went home and got ready.

My parents were really shocked and they said:

Honey we will miss you!

MOM AND DAD! I'll just be there for a few days! I said annoyed.

After 7 hours I woke up to go to the airport and the time was only 4am. I was so tired and my phone started beeping because I had turned on the timer. Then there was a knock on our door. It was Ally she was already ready. I dressed quickly, brushed my hair and put on my jacket. Then I ran to Ally's mom's car to drive us to the airport.

But I forgot my wallet so I had to run in and get it. Then I got in the car quickly and Ally's mom started driving to the airport. We finally arrived.

I was so tagged and that's why I vomited. But I can imagine it was because I did not eat breakfast. I took out my wallet and bought a sandwich with ham. In any case, I felt better.

When Ally's mother went, we ran to a small candy store and bought lots of candy, drinks, chips. The plane finally arrived and we boarded the plane. After a really long 8 hours we arrived. It was 14:40 when we landed and we were very tired. We left the airport and took a taxi to a hotel called Lotte New York Palace. When we asked about the taxi driver could drive us so he asked why we were alone.

We said we would meet our parents at the hotel and he said it was okay. He also said he could drive us for free. We arrived at the hotel. We went to our room and left our suitcases, but we did not leave our cell phones.

We took another taxi to go to the museum. We finally arrived. I brought out a little book and a pen so we could go around and check out some facts about mummies. When I came to the mummy department, there was a sign that said "NOTE! Beware of the mummies ". I was confused and did not understand what they meant to beware of the mummies, everyone beware of mummies, right? I thought in my head. After an hour, they would close the museum so that they would have a private meeting with everyone who worked there. Ally and I got a little mad because we wanted to write a little more facts.

We still had to go back to the hotel by taxi again but this time we had to pay 4 dollars as it is called, but if it had been Swedish money we would have paid about 40 kr. We arrived at the hotel and we were a little tired so we went and slept a little and then we went down to the restaurant for dinner. We ate chicken drumsticks and we drank lemonade. After eating, we went back to our room, put on our pajamas and slept. Both Ally and I could not sleeping so I had an idea. I told her about those signs I saw in the museum and that I wanted to sneak into the museum to see why there were such signs.Ally was in it, I was shocked because it's actually a kind of crime. The time was 12:00 and it was then November 13th. We were still wearing pajamas and we took a taxi to the museum. When we got off the taxi, I told Ally we could check out the back of the museum. We went there and I found a door to the museum but it was of course locked. Ally asked me if I had a clamp and luckily I was wearing one. I gave the clip to her and she tried to open the door. Finally Ally unlocked it and I was a little scared. When we went in, there was a lot of laser so that if you touched one, the police would come to the museum directly. Ally and I did not think it would be difficult for both me and her to go on parkour and gymnastics.
