"What do you think Hiraeth?"
I was a bit startled but I soon recovered and muttered a; "Yeah--umm sure." I took a quick glance at our studio clock and it was 2:30 PM. Suddenly I realized that I didn't know what I was getting myself into.
"Uhh wait wh-what am I exactly agreeing to?" Stuttering in the process of finding words to reply to Maxine.
This happens quite often when I'm trying to get my mind wrapped around something. I always happen to space out even when I'm in the studio and in the middle of doing something important. In this case, 'something important' is song writing.
"I was asking if I could take your wallet and buy myself a four course meal" She chuckled as she went over to grab her guitar and placed it down beside her, but the chuckles soon died down when she realized that she wasn't getting any laughs in response.
"I'm just trying to brighten up your mood, cause you seem like you've been a bit icky and unmotivated lately" She chuckled once more.
"Wow thanks for noticing" rolling my eyes as I replied with sarcasm laced in my voice.
Sometimes I wonder why we're still friends.
I'm kidding.
She's Maxine Gryffon.
My best friend.
Me and Maxine go way back in highschool. We've always dreamt of writing music together, creating a band and touring to different parts of the world.
