Jousha peered up at the sky - his eyes taking in the bright colors - squeezing through the clouds. It was chilly, he thought readjusting his robes around himself. Clouds began to dominate the morning sky leaving transitory patches of blue. Though they were mostly white there is a hint of greyness - a suggestion that rain may play a part in the day to come.
It seemed his prediction was correct as the scent of rain hung in the air - the sky began to darken and the colors faded away as morning fully arrived. Yellows and reds disappeared first. Blue soon followed - overtaken by the greyness climbing over the distant mountain tops.
But as the mist thickened and the unmistakable roll of thunder growled threateningly - one color hung on - rapidly fading. Orange. It didn't take long until the husky color faded. Joshua removed his gaze from the sky and turned his attention to all the students that filled the corridor - the first year students were recieving help from a few of the teachers which wasn't at all surprising.
There's nothing better than planning a few pranks. A little welcoming gift for the first day back, thought Joshua - letting his mind wander to all the things he could do to upset some of the students - especially the ones in slytherin.
Pansy Parkinson loved her coffee, perhaps a small addition of lemon juice would sour her mood further. Vincent Crabbe. Joshua imagined a special cake made with some very special chocolate should have him glued to the toilet for awhile. That left Draco Malfoy, son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. Joshua disliked him with every fiber of his being. Oh, he had something special planned for him.
Joshua rubbed his hands together and allowed himself a brief smile before resuming his visual sullen look. Any sign of happiness would be pounced on as evidence and he had every intention of getting away with all three pranks scot-free.
"What's with that glint in your eye?"
Joshua's gaze landed on his two older sisters - Jackie and Logan. Unlike him - who was placed in Ravenclaw - these two were placed in Gryffindor which suited them perfectly.
"I don't know what you're talking about," he replied, faking innocence.
He removed himself from the wall and drifted into the flowing stream of students - his sisters right behind him.
"You've got that look...like you're up to something. And don't try to deny it."
"Me? Up to something? I'm hurt that you would even think of me that way," Joshua responded placing a hand on his chest as he turned to face his older siblings.
Jackie and Logan shared a look, communicating in that weird way that sisters do before sighing. Logan shook her head, waving her hand in the air.
"Fine whatever. Just try not to have a repeat with last year. Professor Mcgonagall and pranks do not mix very well."
Joshua had the decency to look guilt at the mention of last year. Let's just say his prank was meant for a certain student and Professor Mcgonagall ended up getting in the way. After confessing that he was the one to blame, she gave him detention for two whole months. It was definitely something Joshua wanted to avoid if he could.
"Don't worry about it, I'll be fine. I'm off to class and I suggest you do the same."
Joshua turned on his heel, slipping through the crowd to make his way to his first lesson of the day. Potions with Professor Slughorn. He groaned internally. If there was one thing Joshua hated more than Draco Malfoy, it was potions. If he had the choice, he would skip but that wasn't really much of an option right now so instead of continuing to complain, Joshua would suck it up and do his best to get through it. It was just potions after all, how bad could it be?

Hi everyone! Sorry this chapter is short, I'll work on making them longer and more detailed. Also forgive me for the wait. I honestly had trouble trying to figure how to start the story. Hopefully it wasn't horrible. Anyway, if you've read it this far then thank you! I hope to see you in the next chapter!
