I am learning to be human
Even though I'm still searching for my shoes...
Allow me to scream and dance and to sleep, dream and to laugh...
Allow me to do all the things you would do,
don't I deserve it?
To learn the art of living in this flesh that burdens me sometimes
but you get to throw the tantrum and I am not,
why?
I have worn enough shoes to understand you but you have not worn mine long enough to understand my being.
Take your shoes,
I'm tired of wearing them.
Let me look for mine and in the search, allow me to be as naked as a new born baby,
as innocent as an angel
and as vicious as the devil.
Allow me to be as human as you are because I am not your Christ.
