It didn't take me long to fit all my belongings in the large wooden crate, although I was assigned four hours to say goodbye and pack my things. It will be hard to say goodbye to Lydia, my one friend out of all my sisters. I sigh as I think of the sweet, quiet female. Before the assigning I assumed I would be paired with someone like Link, and that I would accept it, I'd live out the dreams of Scarlett and have lots of kids in a farmhouse far, far away from this all. But now I am filled with curiosity and a drive that could take me further than anything I imagined with Orson. Opposed to Lydia, the thought of Orson sends shivers down my spine.
He was also there early, he had even fewer things than me in his crate, just a toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste, a comb and pocketknife, a lighter, and finally a tiny stack of clothes that looked worn and beaten. Our belongings looked quite similar, mine just taking up more room because of the long skirts they required us to wear. Orson removes his hands from his pockets when I set my crate down,
"Well, it looks like we don't have that much baggage to worry about..." he motions to our meager pile and raises an eyebrow. The Great Hall was full of pairs similar to us; awkward, quiet, seemingly out of place.
"I guess not, but that's better; not as much weight," I state. He agrees with me and I start to remember what the females were saying about him last night, they were right of course, he is attractive away that is almost mysterious, like a foreign creature.
