A Test?

A beep went off while the gate started to open. It led you both to a room full of cops. "First, place your belongings, watch, and everything in your pockets into the tray then proceed to the next room for a body check" one of the cops ordered both of you to do. You and Giorno placed your belongings on the tray and started to check in your pockets. Another beep turned off, opening the second door to the next room with another cop inside.

"Stand right there and raise your hands over your heads." the female cop commanded. you both did as she commanded. "Once you go through that gate, please continue down the hall." She patted down you and Giorno. "N-28 is where Polpo's cell is. The room is divided with reinforced glass, but you'll be able to talk to him. Touching the glass, giving him anything, and receiving anything from him are all forbidden. You both have fifteen minutes." she said.

The beep went off again, opening to a long hallway full of faces on the walls. You were led to a small cell with a big window on the side. You and Giorno tried to find where Polpo was, but the only thing you saw was a bed with a small table on the side. Suddenly, you heard a "That left arm of yours..." an armed appeared by the bed. "...Is it injured?" he got up, showing himself. Polpo looked at you. "It's just on your right hand, but the fingers are slightly red, like you were holding something. Like lines that would be left after holding a bag," he said to you. You were shocked that he was correct. "Well...uh.. you're right. and yes, I was injured during my fight from last time," you said. Polpo went and grabbed a glass of wine and asked, "Would you both like some wine?" he asked. "We've been told that we're not allowed to give anything or receive anything from you." Giorno said. "They're just saying that. what people say and what they do..." Polpo pulled out a remote and a hidden door from the wall opened. Inside of it was a pistol, ammo, and a tv"...are vastly different. That's the best and worst thing about people." Polpo said.

Polpo began eating and drinking his wine. "Bucciarati's told me all about you two. So you both want to join our organization? hmmm.... Giorno Giovanna and Y/N, was it? Well, why don't we get this interview started." He said. Polpo started to chew his finger tips which made you and Giorno a little bit scared. Polpo finished drinking his glass of wine before asking, "what do you think is the most important thing when it comes to choosing?" "Is it what they're capable of?" "Oh? and what exactly are you capable of?" Polpo asked, starting to get amused. Giorno suddenly made money appear in front of him. Polpo let out an "ooo!" in amusement.

"I borrowed a few things when she was patting me down. I thought these would be useful for your test. Of course, I'll be returning them to her when I leave." Giorno said. Polpo let out a few more laughs before asking, "Do you have anything else?" "Other than that, the only skill I have is being able to completely fold my ear into my head." Giorno said and stuffed his ear inside. "That's rather amusing..." Polpo said and turned his head to you. "...How about you, Y/N L/N? what do you think is the most important thing when it comes to choosing?" "(Insert answer here)" you said. Polpo let out another laugh.

"But you see... there is something else that's far more important, and that's trust, Giorno and Y/N. The most important thing when it comes to choosing people is trust. In comparison, being smart or talented means as much as this piece of cracker between my teeth. This test is all about seeing how trustworthy you are... with this lighter's flame." he said, holding a lighter. "Take it and make sure the flame doesn't go out." Giorno walked towards the lighter with its flame and picked it up, almost accidentally putting out the flame. "Whoa there! Be extra careful to make sure the flame doesn't go out. "In order to join our organization, you both will have to show how trustworthy you are when we can't see you. For 24 hours, both of you will have to take turns holding the lighter without letting the flame go out. If you both can do that, I will approve of you two joining the organization. Simple, right?
