"justin." ariana groaned
"just tell me already."

"wait patiently, babe." he chuckled.
"what song do you wanna hear now?"

"i don't wanna hear songs anymore,
we've been doing this for almost 20
minutes now." she sighed.

"okay, we're gonna be there in
less than ten minutes, love." he
rested his right hand on her thigh.

"can we just talk?"

"of course we can." he smiled softly.

"a subject for the conversation is not
going to be where you're taking me, huh?"

"you can try, but i won't tell you."
he chuckled, pulling over.

"we're here?" she looked around.

"no, i need the grocery store."
he turned the car off.

"what for?" she was about to unbuckle her
seatbelt, but he stopped her with his hand.

"it's a part of the surprise, babe.
i'll be back in five minutes, okay?"

"okay." she sighed.

"lock the doors from inside, nothing's
gonna happen, but it'll make
you feel safe, okay?"

she smiled softly "thanks, babe."
it was weird for her that they call each
other nicknames again, but hey,
she couldn't complain.

he packed her lips. "i'll be right back."

"okay." she smiled, and he
went out of the car.

ariana locked the doors from inside like
he told her, he knew she was paranoid
and that's why he didn't want to leave
her alone in the car, sometimes she
gets anxiety attacks and he hates
to see her like that.

that's why he rushed in and
quickly bought everything he needed.

he wanted it all to be just like old times,
and he believed that within two minutes
he could set up what he would set up
from time to time back in the day.

he paid for everything, kindly smiling
at the cashier, and jogged out of the place.

he looked towards his car, smiling
softly seeing ariana biting on her lips,
looking around for any danger.

as her eyes met his, she sighed in relief,
and he rushed to the car, putting the
things in the trunk, knocking on
his door telling her to open it for him.

"oh." she mumbled, leaning
over to unlock his door.

"i tried to finish as fast as i could."
he said, turning the car on.

"it's okay, i was set and ready to
call you if anything seemed weird."
she chuckled, deleting the phone
app folder, realising she doesn't
need it anymore.

he chuckled at her typical moves.
"we're almost there, baby.
do you want water?"

"no, it's okay." she rested her
head on the window.
