Aiden’s pov

Today was the day, the day that Louis will ask me to be his boyfriend, or at least I hope so. We have been hanging out a lot lately, even after we found out he was technically my nephew. But his dad reassured me that he wasn’t, he was Elaine’s child from an earlier marriage and Thomas adopted him.

Louis asked me to him at the beach, just outside of my house, and I was a bit nervous. What if he wanted to be just friends? What if he doesn’t like me that way? What if he only kissed back that one time because I kissed him?

Claire had laid out an outfit for me when I walked out of the shower. And after checking if everything was okay I made my way outside.

There he was, standing at the coastline, where the water meets the beach, looking as cute as ever. [A/N: and no, its not Louis Tomlinson from 1D….the kid is just called Louis because I liked the name.] I had fallen hard for him and I hoped he had at least some feelings for me too.

“Hi! You look wonderful.”

Blushing I thanked him for the compliment and smiled. Complimenting him back wasn’t hard, he always looked wonderful. We started a little walk along the coastline and I felt myself enjoying every moment. At one point I felt his hand slip in mine and he entwined our fingers. And as we stopped to look at the waves he turned to me. Putting his hand on my cheek and he smiled softly at me.

“It might seem sudden, and I understand if you say no, but would you like to be my boyfriend?”

And yeah, that’s what I have been waiting for. But somehow the only thing I could do was nod and so I did. Very aggressively at that may I add. I threw my hands around his neck and hugged him tight, him doing the same with me only winding his arms around my waist.

The moment was perfect until my very obnoxious, but yet sweet sister, came running down the beach, cheering and dancing; obviously happy because of what happened just now.

“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe how cute you are together though! I so called this.”

Blaine came down to the beach at a slower pace, obviously a bit ashamed b the behavior of his girlfriend. But then again he was wearing a fond smile and his eyes told me he was highly amused. We stayed there, just talking and laughing. This really was a good day.

Emily’s pov

I smiled as I leaned against the barrier of the veranda off the house and saw the scene in front of me happening. They all seemed so happy and that warmed my heart. That even though Aiden didn’t have the easiest life he still was so happy. And that Claire, after everything that had happened this last year, still was all that immature, even though she was almost turning 18.

Two arms made their way around my waist and I smiled as I let myself lean against his body.

“We are getting old, aren’t we?”
