we sit in silence until i couldn't take it anymore which was only about 5 minutes. "you're boring, why don't you talk more" i say as i look at her and away from my phone. "what is there to talk about- come up with a conversation yourself" "damn. you're rude". She chuckles "thanks i take that as a compliment." So i look at her, "you're a weirdo, did you know that?" she blinks slowly as she replies, "i sure did". I start to really look at her and realize something i took for granted too much last year, her eyes, facial expressions, voice, smile, laugh, her attitude and so much more. "did you also know you're really-" i start to say, until i realize what's pouring out of my mouth. "did i know what?" she says with a confused tone as a response to my half sentence. I shake my head and slightly bite my lip then let go of it "nothing... sorry". She lets the confused look on her face remain a little longer until her face relaxes and she's just looking at me. "did you need something?" i say as i look back at her from my phone "no, i was just thinking about something". I nod and continue to be on my phone, I get up and grab a water out the fridge and sit back down on the couch "you're a bad hostess. you didn't ask me if i wanted anything" so i throw my water at her "here" i say after it's already left my hands and into the air. "i don't want it" she chuckles lightly "i was playing". "keep it" i say as i place my phone down and turn my entire body towards her as she does the same thing. "so...?" she scans my entire face wondering what to do now "i just wanted to face you" i shrug and say as a response to her one word statement. She nods and somewhat scoots closer to me, but not to the point where we're too close to each other. "what time you plan on leaving?" she furrows her brows the tiniest bit, "it sounds like you're kicking me out, so i suppose now. She starts to get up "i mean i wasn't kicking you out but whatever you say" she starts to walk towards the door, "have a goodnight Seylani... i'll see you tomorrow" my eyes followed her as she walks out the door and i fall back, laying on my back, looking at the ceiling. i roll off the couch and stand up and go upstairs to my room and text sierra. 'hey sisi.. you okay?' i type then click send. dot dot dot. She stops texting back so i put my phone down then go and shower doing everything i gotta do then getting dressed and doing my hair then laying in my silk sheets. I take a deep breath trying to fall asleep but my brain is wide awake on the thought of bianca.
at school the next day
Sierra
i walk past Seylani in the hallway and see Kiara and Bianca next to her and i shake my head. Seylani stops and tells them to wait for her while she walks up to me "yes?" i look at her with a blank expression. "sierra can you chill? just this once? like i simply forgot about her and Matthew. i'm not gonna worry about you and your feelings all the fucking time." i nod "okay then don't worry about my feelings right now, and leave me alone." she shakes her head and walks away back to her new lil friends. Can i really be mad at her? She was right, she shouldn't have to worry about my feelings and my life all the time when she's trying to live her own.
Kiara
i see Sierra look annoyed with Seylani and i can't help but feel bad for lani cus Sierra doesn't need to be a bitch about whatever it is she's so pissed about. She walks back up to us and rolls her eyes "she's so angry about how i had you over last night knowing that matthew cheated with you" she's says to Bianca rolling her eyes. I chuckle realizing how all of this was over that and shake my head. "she's mad at ME because HER boyfriend kissed me?! i didn't even kiss the nigga back, hes ugly as fuck" Bianca says with her eyebrows slightly raised "can you go talk to her? she doesn't know the truth and that shits worrisome" i look at Bianca and ask her, she just shakes her head. "It's not my job to make her like me. that's that" she shrugs and continues to walk out of the school with us. "i'll see y'all at my house? so Kiara can hang out with her boyfriend and i can hang out with my girlfriend?" Seylani says to us while starting to part ways to her car "HUH?!" Bianca says loud and confused while me and lani just laugh and walk to our cars. We get into seylani's house and sierra is there "uh..." seylani starts to say until sierra cuts her off. "Bianca can i talk to you? if that's okay..." she nods and replies to her with a satisfied tone that they're finally gonna talk about what happened with matthew "mhm, that's cool with me". They go and have their conversation while lani and I go downstairs to the basement.
Bianca
"can i start off by saying, i'm sorry for not getting the official side of the story. I found out Matthew cheated on me and I didn't care to hear any details on how." Sierra starts to ramble "you really don't have to apologize to me, but i do want you to know I didn't kiss him back. He kissed me and i just wasn't strong enough to push the schools number one linebacker away from me" i explain to her what happened so she can get a clearer view of the situation. She nods "i understand and i really regret not fully getting the story beforehand." I nod in understanding because if I was her, i probably would've done the exact same thing she did... lmao why am i lying- i know damn well i would've fully got the story before going off on people. I walk away from her and jog downstairs into the basement to see Healani and Kiara playing eachother in Mortal Kombat 11 on the Ps5. "gimme the controller once your done Kiara, i wanna whoop Healani's ass as Kitana". They both laugh but go back to saying who knows what, with an angry tone while trying to win. I go and sit on the couch next to healani and get on my phone waiting for their game to finish. "whatd sierra talk to you about?" Kiara starts to ask as Healani wins the game. "how she was sorry and should've known the whole story before being a bitch or whatever" i say bored. Kiara then throws the controller at me and i scoot closer to Healani choosing my character and starting the game. "Healani, somebody named aaliyah is blowing up your phone about how she tryna see you" Kiara reads her messages aloud.
