Alice is someone who is strong and unwavering.

Alice is a person once known for her bad personality and carnage.

Alice is someone who prefers to be alone, and is an arrogant, self-centered person.

Those rumors, are they really the case now?

I remember.

The sight of your back, of bold confidence, of arrogance.

I remember.

The silver shine of your hair, of your eyes that regarded everything as below you.

I remember.

Though you were nasty, I couldn't help watching you in respect and admiration.

I remember.

That time when you acted as the leader, when it was my role to play. The sight of your back, facing forward and being bathed in light, I saw someone who would rise through the ranks and become a hero. Vile and cruel, you exuded a leader's charisma regardless.

"All you need to do is follow me."

I remember, thinking.

I want to be as strong and bold as you.

I remember.

Going out of my way for the chance to cross paths with you, straying away from my real duties, I wanted to work with you.

You were my idol.

But now...

Felix, staring at her sleeping face, finally put down the smooth picture frame on her stomach, and spoke.

"I hate you."

You make yourself so important to me and leave just like that.

"I hate you. How could you?"

Alice knew of what he felt of his mother, and yet she went to do the same thing as her. Giving herself a role meant to be vital to him, only to leave him behind, what she was doing was far worse. Because while he didn't know his mother well, he definitely knew Alice; they spent nearly everyday together, for over a decade.

"You deserve this."

Don't leave just like that. Don't leave after everything you've done. Don't do this. You already know everything I have to tell you.

"I don't miss you at all."

You are―

He couldn't bear to look at her. So he looked to the sleek gray picture frame instead, holding the image of a blonde woman. And his eyes landed on the little arm poking out.

... You could've told me anything.

She never told him anything about this. And if he looked back, he could see that she's known for a while.

But Alice could've told him anything. Of her nightmares, of her troubles, he would be prepared to do the same that she did for him. Even a warning would do. She knew he wasn't good at subtlety, so she could've said it outright, that she would leave like this.

I wish I never met you.

If they never met, she wouldn't weigh so much on his mind like this. If they never met, she wouldn't have become a necessity in his life. If only, if only, if only!
