Jisung rolled over in bed and picked up his phone which had just vibrated. 'Who could be texting me this late?' He thought to himself, squinting against the bright light of his phone in the pitch-black room. Silently hoping that the vibration hadn't woken anyone up, he checked his display.
Jeongin: I couldn't sleep so I went for a walk. If I'm not back in forty minutes please look for me
'That's odd,' Jisung thought to himself. 'Jeongin almost never talks walks on his own at this time.'
Had this been a normal behavior, Jisung most likely would have gone back to sleep. However, the message from Jeongin had been extremely suspicious. Quietly sneaking out of his room, Jisung made his way to the living room and sat on the couch facing the door, anxiously waiting for Jeongin's return.
Twenty minutes passed by before Jisung texted Jeongin back asking if he was okay only to receive no reply.
Jeongin woke up, his head foggy. He took a moment to recall what had happened, looking around in a panic. He was at the bottom of the pool, his arms and legs tied with a rope. Hyunjin was standing in front of him, a small smile on his face. Jeongin struggled against the ropes around his arms and legs, tying him to a cement block.
"Hyung! Let me out! Let's talk this out!" He begged, the ropes digging painfully into his wrists. Hyunjin leaned down and acted like he was going to untie the ropes. Seeing Jeongin's relieved expression, he stood up and took a few steps back, his smile widening.
"I don't think I can let you go. Especially after all you've seen."
Hyunjin climbed up the latter of the pool, leaving Jeongin tied to the bottom with no way to escape.
"Hyung! Don't leave me!" He cried.
"Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere," Hyunjin said, his voice oddly calming. Soon, the pool began to slowly fill with water.
"Hyunjin! Don't do this to me! HYUNJIN!" Jeongin screamed.
Climbing down the latter, Hyunjin stood in front of Jeongin relishing his panic. "You know I told Jisung to come here!" Jeongin cried, suddenly confident.
"So what? You'll be dead before he gets here," Hyunjin said, erasing Jeongin's momentary confidence.
"Why are you doing this?!" Jeongin demanded as the water began to cover his legs.
"What difference does it make if I tell you?" Hyunjin replied indifferently.
"Can I at least die knowing the true Hyunjin?!"
"I don't want to kill you, but you happened to walk in on me at a bad time. If you must know, I'm a murderer."
The water was now up to Jeongin's neck, forcing him to look up in order to breathe. "Bye Jeongin," Hyunjin said, climbing back up the latter and watching from the top as water began to close around Jeongin's face.
"Hyunjin!" Jeongin screamed before his face was submerged underwater.
