When you really think about it, its incredible the amount of trust we put in some people. No, I'm not talking about your best friend or partner. People like the police, medical health professionals etc. So, the question you should ask yourself in this case is, do you trust your doctor? Well, these people did and they ended up dead. It's crazy how much trust we give them. We believe their trustworthy without asking any questions because of their authority, so they must be right. Turns out, this doctor wasn't the person you should have put your trust in. But how could these people known any better? They were just doing what every other person does and let their doctor treat them because they know what's best, after all it's their job. This case is a perfect example of why you should always be wary. Of anything, any situation, everything. Because if a doctor can betray your trust (not just because of their terrible handwriting), who else could?

You may have heard of this man before because he has an incredibly high victim count, the highest one in England's history. But surprisingly, he isn't talked about much. Even when it comes to talking about serial killers. He doesn't share the same public spotlight as other serial killers such as Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez, John Wayne Gacy and Jeffry Dahmer etc even though he murdered more people than all of their victims combined. You may have already guessed it, but today I'll be writing about British serial killer Harold Shipman. He's also known as: 'Dr. Death' and 'The Angel of Death'. His victim count is 215-250+.

Harold Shipman entered this world on the 14th of January 1946. Making him a Capricorn ♑. He was born into a working-class family in Nottingham (Nottingham is place in England). He can be known as (it is rare, because he was only called this in his early years by his mother) 'Fred'.

Like most serial killers, he had an unusual childhood. He grew up with a brother and sister but it was clear their mother's favourite was Harold. Its already going to have a negative impact on the child if their being favoured among their peers, because it'll give them a grandiose sense of entitlement, which in any circumstance, is never good.  Especially when it's too much. Another valid thing to mention is that his parents were devout Methodists. Methodists are Protestant Christians who follow the teachings of John Wesley and who have their own branch of the Christian Church and their own form of worship.

His mother believed 'Fred' was destined for great things, and taught him that he was superior to his contemporaries, even though he wasn't extremely clever and he had to work extra hard to achieve academic success. So during this time, (when he's most influential) he relys on his parents influence, so him being told this everyday is not only exceeding his self esteem and image but it's very dangerous and will show.

During his school days, he formed few friendships with other children, a situation that was exacerbated when his mother became dangerously ill with lung cancer. The young Shipman adopted the role of caring for/to his mother. He spent time with her after school waiting for visits from the family doctor, who would inject her with morphine to relieve her from pain.

Of course, it's entirely possible that the stress of this experience during his formative years may have impelled him into mental illness, further leading him to re- enact the role of carer and doctor in the macabre fashion that he later did.

When Shipman was 17, still in his adolescent years, his mother Vera finally passed from cancer. After a long and painful illness. I believe this to be Harold's final plunge into insanity.

Despite having to resit his entry exams, he enrolled in medical school. He'd had an opportunity to make friends as he was good at sport (Rugby-apparently had a real talent-), but he made little effort to interact with anyone. Which very well could have been what he needed for emotional support because he's lost his mother who was very close to him.
