Hope filled the entirety of your body. When the woman pulled you forward. She let down your hair. She walked around you. Taking a seat behind you.

She pulled back your long hair. And began to tie neatly together. She grabbed the two hairpins. And poked it through your hair.

"There."

She slowly arose. And you did the same.

"How do I look?"

"Very handsome come you should head back to your friend."

You nodded and followed her back into the main room.

Giyū sat patiently for you. You walked over to him and patted his shoulder gently. His eyes opened gently looking over to you. You smiled happily backing up a bit.

"How do I look?"

He nodded gently making you smile.

The elderly woman walked back over to her husband. They both smiled. Giyū stood up walking back over to the man. He dug within his pocket. When the man would shake his head.

"No need to pay. A young couple like you both don't need to pay."

Giyū's face turned red to your surprise. As you questioned the word "couple."

"So it's free?" You questioned.

"Yes of course." He exclaimed happily as the woman walked over to you.

Digging inside of her kimono again. Pulling out a book.

"Here take this."

You took the book not knowing what the title said. But Giyū read "A Collection of Love Stories." You looked at the words not knowing what they meant.

"I can't read..."

Everyone acted surprised by this fact.

"How is it you learned to speak?"

"Hunters stopped by my cabin a lot. I helped them when they needed it. And in turn they taught me how to speak."

"I see. Well your friend can help you read."

"Ok then. Thank you so much for this."

You bowed your head deeply. That the lady and man bowed too.

"It is our pleasure."

Giyū bowed his head a bit. And grabbed your hand immediately pulling you outside.

You followed Giyū closely. Until he took you out of town. And into the mountainous terrain.

"Where are we going?"

"To my old mentor's home."

"Why?"

"You have talent. And it would be a shame to see it disappear."

You continued following him. And although your feet felt num. You continued on not saying a word. Holding onto Giyū's cold hand.

"So tell me about yourself." The question shot out into the air.
