Kinusot ko ang mga mata ko as I yawn and stretch my body. I was never a morning person but the tour will start at 7 and it would be a waste kung hindi ko aattendan yun.
I prepped my things and eventually walked outside the hotel and patiently waited for our ride. Buti na lang inayos na ng company namin yung tour ko so all I needed was to comply with the schedule given to me.
After almost 10 minutes of waiting, the ride had arrived. Pagpasok ko ng sasakyan namin, a girl caught my attention. She's busy minding her own world with her earphones pero hindi nakaligtas sa akin yung ngiti na suot niya while listening to the song playing. She smiles perfectly.
Pinili kong umupo sa kabilang side where she's sitting para hindi ko maabala yung mga ngiti na libre kong nasusulyapan. I've met many girls and even had a night with some of them. I've seen so many smiles from so many girls I've slept with or had relationship with but I was never this captivated by someone.
Palihim akong nagnanakaw ng tingin sa kanya habang siya ay patuloy na nalulunod sa kanyang sariling mundo. I could stare at her all day.
I am about to look at our tour guide when she caught me staring at her. Agad kong iniwas yung tingin ko to somewhere and at the corner of my eye, I saw her giggle. My hear skipped at what my peripheral view had witnessed. Strange. This had never happened.
Lumingon na ako sa window side ng sasakyan sa sobrang hiya. I even felt my head being warm because of the shameful act I had just committed.
Nasa gitna ako ng pagmumuni-muni nang biglang naramdaman ko na may tumabi sa akin. Hindi ako makapaniwala nang ako'y lumingon because the girl whom I was admiring a while ago sat beside me. Bigla akong hindi nakahinga and found myself stuck at staring at her smile...again.
"Try mo 'tong pakinggan." She quickly said while putting the other side of her earphones on my ear. Nagulat ako sa gesture niya at mas kinagulat ko na pinoy pala siya.
Hindi ako nakapagsalita because I was still shocked pero pinilit kong pakinggan yung music na nasa tenga ko.

Were the lines that caught my attention. After the song ended, binawi niya agad yung earphones niya and smile at me.
"Ganda 'no?" She asked.
"Oo." I simply said while looking at her pair of smiling lips. Wtf Elmo, kanina mo pa sinasabi 'yang lips na yan.
"T-teka...paano mo nalaman na Pinoy din ako?" I quickly asked her nang makaget over ako sa pagtitig ko sa kanya.
"Ayan oh?!" She quickly pointed at my jacket and giggled once again. God, hindi ba 'to napapagod na maging cute while giggling?
Napatingin ako sa sarili ko. Oo nga pala, I was wearing a PH flag themed jacket. Bobo mo naman Elmo. Nakakahiya ka.
I scratched my head and timidly smiled at her.
"Ayos lang 'yan. Ganda ko 'no?" She quickly asked.
The van we're riding went on and we shared a strangely comfortable silence. I was carefully looking on the window side when I felt a heavy thing on my shoulder. I am about to react and remove it quickly nang marealize ko na someone's beside me. She felt asleep while listening to some songs on her earphones and I can't help but look at her with amazement. I tried familiarizing her face, carefully looking at every edge and corner of it when I heard a giggle from her.
"Baka matunaw naman na ako sa titig mo mister." She flashed yet again her sweetest smile. Naramdaman kong namula yung mukha ko kaya iniwas koyung tingin ko sa kaniya and quickly glanced at the rear view.
We fell silent once again and I found myself being sleepy, laying my head on top of hers.
