The muggy salty air flows through my fingers, as my hand sticks out Dads truck window. I throw my head back on the seat and close my eyes,
"I am finally going to get a break," i thought.
Its a couple weeks into summer, and I've finished high school. Im enrolled in Florida State, FSU. So Dad decided, since I'm an only kid, and since he is divorced, he thought it would be best to move down on the gulf so it would be much easier transportation, and the beach would be right there.
Massy, my Border Collie, sits between me and Dad in the bucket seat of the truck, panting and enjoying the warm air. I run my fingers through her long brown and white fur and stare down the open road. Originally we moved here from Ohio.
That was when I had a Mom, and friends i knew.
I start to fantasize about life with a Mom, and maybe a sister, a nice home, until I'm fast asleep, letting the breeze blow my sandy hair around.
