I looked back to Alex and glared at him, I stuck my tongue out at him and started running down the hallway. I could hear him running after me with quick heavy steps. I turned into another hallway and at the end was a large mirror, which showed how dangerously close he was.

I looked around hoping to find somewhere to hide. I saw one if their guest bathrooms and silently thanked God. As soon as I got right in front of it, I grabbed the wall and swung myself into the bathroom and closed the door, thankfully locking it right as he got to it.

He started banging on the door. Rather hard, might I add. " I swear to God Hope, if you don't open the door...." He stopped after that as if he was thinking of something to say.

"What, what's going to happen Alex? Your going to tickle me to death?" I asked in a mocking tone and started laughing.

"Oh yeah Hope, real funny." He sighed and continued talking, in his irritatingly deep voice. "I don't know what, but it won't be anything good, and if I have to, I'll wait here all night."

Oh, I could hear the victorious tone in his voice. I tried to think of something to say, but when I couldn't I just sat in silence waiting to hear his footsteps retreating. Which never came.

"Come on Alex, you can't stay out there all day. You have the attention span of a freaking goldfish for God's sake." I heard him scoff before he quickly denied what I had said.

"Oh Hope, you obviously haven't known me the last few years." I could hear from his voice that he was smirking, "if anyone can't stay anywhere, it would be you... I know how you eat like a pig, in fact I think I can hear your stomach growling already."

God dammit, it really was growling, well more like gurgling like a dying cow! How embarrassing, I'm glad he couldn't see me, because my cheeks were the color of Santa's suit!

"Okay Alex, maybe we can make a deal?" Oh the hopefulness in my voice must have made him feel so damn victorious.

"No, Hope, I don't think we can make a deal." Oh shit. I'm going to die in a bathroom, I'm going to starve, at least there was water, so I wouldn't die of thirst. Oh, maybe I could eat the soap.

"Alex, I have a question..." Please let him know the answer.

"The answer will probably be no, but go ahead."

"Does soap have any nutritional value?" It was quiet for a minute, other than him mumbling to himself, saying something that remotely sounded like, 'what kind of dumbass asks that question?'

"What?" Was his brilliant reply. Ugh, and I'm the dumbass?

"Like, could someone survive if they ate soap, like instead of starving to death, you know?" I waited a little while longer, listening with my ear against the door, and this time absolutely no sounds came from the other side.

"Um, I guess so? Why?"

"Well, I was thinking I could e--" before I could finish he cut me off.

"Hope! Get your stupid little ass out here! You will not eat soap, don't be stupid!" First he cuts me off, then the bastard tells me what I can't do! And that I'm stupid? That's just too far.

I didn't reply. And he kept knocking, and knocking, and knocking, for what felt like 3 hours of hi, just knocking, neither of us making even a noise, other than that God damned knocking.

"Oh my God, what the hell is your problem?!" I was mad, and I was hungry, and getting the start of a headache.

He started to snicker and then went completely silent. No talking, and thank God, no knocking. I started to get hopeful that he left, but when I checked I under the door i saw his stupid grey converse. Okay, they aren't stupid.... But come on, they are ridiculously huge, like fit for a giant or something. So I walked over by the opposite wall and sat down on the plush carpet. And eventually drifted off.

---

I woke up in the most uncomfortable position and got up and I swear everything in my body painfully popped. I looked out the window and saw that it had gotten brighter, which meant I had to have been in there for at least an hour. Then like the brilliant girl I am looked at the clock, because for some reason I couldn't fine my phone. The clock said that it was 9:46 great, I had been here for almost two hours. I walked over to the door and without even thinking opened it. I was looking at the ground and saw Alex's shoes.i quickly went to close the door, but then I noticed there weren't any feet in the shoes.

I looked up and only saw the opposite wall. That little, well actually big, shit! I probably could have left and an hour ago! I looked down both sides of the hallway. Clear! I got a little excited and then started to run down the hall. Wait maybe I should be a little more quiet, so I started to walk, very slowly down the rest of the hall. I came to the stairs and looked over the side. Clear! I started to walk down them and got to the bottom. I don't know where I was headed, but I needed to get away from Alex.

I walked towards the dining room and still hadn't seen any sign of Alex. Thank goodness. I decided I'd go out into their backyard. I got to the dining room and was almost to the French doors that led to the backyard when I saw Alex.

"Shit." I muttered under my breath, but because the house was so silent he heard me.

He snapped his head in my direction, and I noticed he had a mouth full of food, and a plate in his hand. I slowly started to back up, and he swallowed whatever was in his mouth, and dropped his plate on the table and started to run after me.

I started screaming like a little girl, "Alex! Please! Don't!" I ran into the kitchen and behind the island.

He stopped running, and turned to the fridge. Uh, oh. This can only end badly. He grabbed a pie that his mother had obviously baked to perfection. Oh no, please don't. He turned to me and looked completely normal, as if he had no need to get me back or anything.

"Hope, do you want some pie?" I looked at him for a minute, and he didn't seem mad or anything, he looked competent normal.

"Um, sure, thank you." I gave a little smile but was still skeptical about it all.

He got down two plates, and put the pie on the center island. He got two forks and a big knife to cut the pie with. I walked over to the island and watched him cut the first piece. He put it on the plate and put the fork in it. I was so deep in thinking about what he would do later to get me back that I hadn't realized what was happening until he grabbed the back of my neck and pushed my face downward, and with his free hand, lifted the pie to meet my face.

Oh, he is so going to get it later, I pulled my face out of the pie to see him snickering and eating his piece of pie. I walked over to the sink and grabbed the sprayer. I pointed it at him and he dropped his food, again. He calmly walked over and reached for the sprayer. I moved it but continued to spray him. I started laughing, until he got ahold of the nozzle and started to spray me. After we stopped we looked at ourselves and we were completely drenched, and being the cliche person I am, I was wearing a white shirt. I followed Alex's eyes and looked at myself. I blushed a brilliant shade of scarlet and started walking toward Alec's room.

---

I was knocking on Alec's door and when he opened it, he looked me over and was obviously at a loss for words.

"Um, do you have clothes I could borrow?" I suddenly got really shy and looked at the ground. He mumbled something that sounded like a yes and he let me into his room.

Sorry, it's Christmas Eve, and I'm super tired... Going to bed, have a nice Christmas (:
