“Where would he have gone?” Morgan asks Garcia. There’s a short shuffle of typing on the computer and we all sit anticipating her answer.

“Well apparently he has a cousin who lives a couple miles from his house, the location you’re at now. It says Gonzales used to stay with his cousin for a while before he could afford his own house. His cousin’s name is Ally and I sent her address to your tablets, you’re welcome. Garcia out lovelies,” she concludes and hangs up.

“Okay guys let’s go check it out,” Rossi says making a U-turn.

“How long do you think it will be until we get there?” I ask whoever is willing to answer me.

“Maybe 10-20 minutes,” Reid answers me.

“We should listen to some music or talk, something. We can’t make this even more depressing than it already is,” I give a little smile. Everyone’s quiet for a moment then Morgan looks at me with a vague smile on his face.

“Turn on the radio,” Morgan laughs.  Reid looks at the radio then back at Morgan.

“What do I…” Reid looks baffled and I can’t help but burst out laughing.

“Turn the 3rd nob from the right to the left, genius,” Morgan says laughing.

Reid turns the nob and music starts to play. We all immediately recognize the song, it’s Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey.  We all start to sing along to an old classic tune.

“I honestly prefer more of classical music,” Reid tries to say over the rest of our singing.

“Hey you guys, I think we’re here,” Rossi says pulling into the houses’ drive way.

“Dang, we didn’t get to the good part of the song,” I say with a disappointed look on my face.

“Oh come on,” Prentiss says pulling me out of the car.

We all reload our guns and wait for the other car to get here. About 3 minutes later Hotch, the SWAT team and this new girl I’ve never seen before. She has short-ish brown hair and brown eyes. She seems maybe in her 40’s. But who is she? I soon forget about her and start towards Hotch.

“We need to hurry,” He pauses “He might have another victim in there.”

This time Hotch and Morgan go in the back. Prentiss and Rossi go towards the front which leaves Reid and I, sitting out by the car. I didn’t really understand what was going on.

“Okay, so explain to me what exactly we’re doing?” I ask quietly.
He turns and looks at me, and again I noticed his sunglasses. He continues to wear them when it’s not even bright outside. I’m curious but I don’t feel like we’re close enough as friends to ask. Plus, curiosity killed the cat.

“We’re just being backup right now,” he smiles at me.

“Does that mean I didn’t do good earlier?”
“No, we all take turns as back up, not everyone can go into a house. That would be putting everyone at risk, and if we got hurt no one could call for help,” He says quietly.

“Are you okay?” I ask before I know I’m asking.

He looks at me a little baffled and blinks it away, hoping I won’t notice. But I did.

“Y-yeah, I’m fine, why do you ask?” He asks fidgeting with his sunglasses.

“You seem on edge, plus you keep messing with your sunglasses… which you are wearing on a cloudy day,” I say studying him.

“Hey, I’m a profiler too,” He laughs a little. I can still tell there’s something wrong. We still haven’t heard anything from the others so we assume they’re doing fine. Although if we don’t hear anything from them at all in a little while we’re going to call more back up and head in.

“Something’s bothering you, or you’re not telling me something,” I glance at him again.

“It’s kind of hard to talk about, especially now considering I just met you a couple days ago. But don’t get me wrong, I do feel as if I’m getting fairly close with you,” He smiles.

“Do any of the other team members know?” I ask.

I shakes his head then pauses.

“Kind of, why don’t we go get coffee after we nab this guy?” He smiles

            “Sure,” I smile.

There’s a little static over the radio.

“I need back up, now!” Hotch whispers loudly through the radio.

Reid and I quickly hop up and get the SWAT team. We follow the SWAT team into the house and down the stairs to the basement. When we finally reach the bottom of the never ending stairway I move forward to see what the situation is. Reid follows me.
“Get back!” A man, I’m assuming is Gonzales, yells at Reid and I.

I can’t help but gasp at what I see. He’s got JJ and Prentiss captive. Hotch and Rossi are stuck in the corner opposite to JJ and Prentiss.

“Look, we’re not going to hurt you,” I say quietly, taking a few small steps at a time towards him. Reid quickly pulls me back a couple feet.

“Let me handle him, you try and get JJ and Prentiss,” he whispers. I slowly start taking small steps in another direction towards JJ and Prentiss, while Reid tries to soothe Gonzales.

            “You don’t understand!” Gonzales bellows.

“We can help you,” Reid says

Gonzales pulls out his gun and points it directly at me.

“Take another step and you’re dead,” He says.

I stop dead in my tracks unsure of what to do, with my time ticking away second by second...
